- Come along as we camp in our tiny Runaway Rangerunner Mini Camper at an Ohio State Park. In this video, we give you a tour of Punderson State Park. This campground sits on Punderson Lake in Newbury, Ohio. We meet up with friends for a pot luck where Ben makes a Smoked BBQ Honey Glazed Ham. Yum! I have a Runaway Coolcamp. Sometimes when I camp in a site like that I turn my camper sideways on the site and place it all the way at the end. That helps me with a flat area under my awning. I’m pretty clumsy so I need all the help I can get! Great video, keep em’ coming! Love Videos about Runaway trailers.

Great video !! I'm currently trying to decide which Runaway I want so watching videos. I'm in NE Minnesota but I'm an OTR truck driver and have hauled loads of Kraftmade kitchen cabinets out of Middlefield. It's always fun to see the Amish buggies

I am interested in seeing the build and/or plans of the L shaped bed(s). What mattresses did you use? Love this set up! Beautiful camper!

Thanks for compliment. We plan on doing a video of the build in the near future. This was our third build in less than one year in this camper. This is by far our favorite and most comfortable. It is what we are keeping. I will show the bed frames and give dimensions in the video. As for the bed we used a 1”coconut coir pad on the bottom so the mattresses could breath then we stacked three 2” latex mattress toppers (1 soft, 1 medium, 1 firm)on top of each other for a total of 7”. That way you can find what is comfortable for you. I will show this in a video too. Hope this helps. I hope to answer all your questions. Keep watching. 🌸

We’re super excited. We pick our runaway up Saturday. Can you tell me what glue you used for the curtain rods?
@@janicepipkin8976 Congrats on your purchase! Our curtain rods are magnetic. Ben cut a tiny piece of metal and glued it to the wall of the runaway camper. That way I can take the curtains down to wash them. I believe we used gorilla super glue between the wall and the back of the piece of metal. It has held up for three years now. Consider turning the trailer 90 degrees and set the tent up on the pavement.

Did you ever have to manually move runaway and if so how did you do it
Tina, yes we have. Depending on our site layout. We have turned it sideways or to face another direction. We put the wheel on the trailer jack and push it into place. Once in place, we installed the chock blocks, swap out the wheel for the flat plate and lower the trailer jack onto the blocking and level it from there.
What is the weight of camper.. can it be towed with a car/medium size suv?
The weight of the unit when you buy it is 757lbs. That is with nothing in it. Just an empty box with an air conditioner. With our latest build, it is 1,380lbs. If you check out our video on our build, you will see the layout that we now have. Of course different builds will weigh different amounts depending on what you put in camper. Yes, it can be towed by a car/medium suv. That is what is so great about these campers. Happy camping!
How do you power the AC?
Using an extension cord, We plug the camper in to the electric at the camp ground we stay at. Air conditioner then plugs in to a power strip in the camper. Hope this helps.

Bathroom?
We normally stay at State Campgrounds and use their bathroom facilities. I normally do a tour of the restrooms in all of our videos of the different campgrounds. For when we are off grid, we have a shower tent and a propane hot water heater. We also use a Luggable Lou in case of emergencies. We have not had any issues in the 3 years we have been going this route. We show the set up in some of our other videos. Thanks for inquiring.
