They actually close that stretch of Fifth Avenue every weekend so people can enjoy and hangout! They have car-free weekends in that part of BGC to allow people to freely stroll, dine, and play at the "My Street High Street" on Fifth Avenue. Next time, you may also wanna check out the Sky Park and Sky Garden at the roof deck of SM Aura.

    • @jackieInPhilippines

A genius idea. I’ve heard so much about the rooftop of SM Aura. I’ll make time to go there. Expect the video 😊❤️❤️

Just came.upon your vlog. Thank you for the footages ❤..always carry a folding umbrella 😀 weather changes instantly, lucky if only a drizzle but at times it is sudden downpour. I do not know when you filmed your footage, I know there is a supertyphoon to the North right now so that is pushing the rains all over Luzon. Get used to the typhoons, often times now they quickly escalate to super typhoon level, usually they manifest more towards September to November. It was funny growing up there a long time ago, I can never have a typhoon free birthday since it is in October. At least you are safely in the BGC area, much sturdier structures..pay attention to the weather, it can easily have flash floods outside the BGC area during heavy rain periods and it will be next to impossible to get a good ride home.
My last visit there was in July 2016..at that time my favorite place to visit is the Sky Park at SM Aura. Though SM Aura is much smaller then the other SM Malls, I like it..does not get too overcrowded.
You are luckier now, much more shopping establishments to venture into. Personally, I am not into branded items...so I have more fun inside Market Market 😀 prices are much friendlier to my pocketbook. Landmark and SM dept stores are okay too, at least in the aspect of having a good fitting room when you want to try on the clothes. As you would know later on, at times the Asian size of our clothes there is not similar to the American size. Sometimes small is more like extra small..and large is still like petite medium size etc.
I am happy to hear you guys learning our language. It will open up much more doors to you guys. Do remember to add 'po' at the end of a question, that shows respect especially if you are talking to someone older..but it also is used to show respect to any third party..just a sort of honorific respect. And when you say thank you..always good to add 'po' at the end..or say Salamat po. Even in the daily greetings like saying Good Morning...spoke in English or in Tagalog 'Magandang Umaga'..always add 'po'. The locals will easily sense your respect to them so they will accord you the same. Enjoy your stay there ❤

BGC is not a city, just a CBD (Central Business District) Metro Manila is composed of 32+ CBDs inside of 16 cities. so there's a lot more to explore in Metro Manila

Yes, also SM City is not a city, it's only a Mall. What else ? We are both emphasizing for this, why are they naming or calling city for these. Also the Vatican City which is inside the City of Rome in Italy. Why why why ?

Trivia! about The Fort or B.G.C as a whole..we call it ''The Fort' because it is where The Fort Bonifacio is located..where some of the arm forces base and train..but because of lack of funds to Modernize the arm forces, the government came up with the idea together with the B.C.D.A. Bases Conversion Development Authority..to transform former military bases and properties into premier centers of economic growth in partnership with private sector..and to their suprised! it is so successful that with in a decade it is already a complete modern and sustainable global city.. well because of I.T B.P.O.Finance ect.. that they wanted to emulate it fast hence The New Manila land reclamation,Clark City, I.T Park of Cebu city and many more! just like The Eko Atlantic City of your country Nigeria..soon B.G.C will have a Manila Subway Metro station too..
