@@saidxo2236 they are all incredible albums, I cant say which one are better because I always listen them by the vibe I have at that moment, but for me Kissland its the one that I can empathize the most and hits me straight in the soft spots if u know what I mean

Yeah, I understand what you mean. Kiss Land in my opinion is an album that tends to empathize a lot with people, especially when they are in moments of confusion and darkness. It's amazing the way you can connect to a song. XO

One way I can describe the difference between trilogy and kissland is that trilogy felt really claustrophobic and closed in. But kissland sounded so open and airy. I think that’s what he intended because it was the first time he travelled outside of Canada and the sound was a perfect transition. Both trilogy and kissland were dark and perfect. Kissland is my favourite album from the weeknd.

I find this album terrifying yet beautiful, the screams in the song "kissland" give me goosebumps. The way he creates that uncomfortable, eerie and unfamiliar feeling through music is special. He wants us to feel how he felt when he left Toronto for the first time to tour.

@@BloodRaven429 yeah, the teaser for the title track is called John Carpenter, and he said in an interview that he was inspired by directors like Ridley Scott, Cronenburg, and Carpenter, hence the atmosphere. Abel pretty much says Kiss Land is like a horror movie.

The Weeknd said that this album was a reflection of his life when he started getting big. He was scared and it was a nightmare for him. That's why hes doesn't perform any KissLand songs. If he does it's only in Japan.
Yeah, it’s sad he had never performed a lot of songs from K-Land... he also said in august 2020 when K-land suddenly got to the top of Spotify that he is planning to incorporate some song from that album to after hours tour sooo

This album has grown on me a lot. I wasn’t the biggest fan after my first listen, but I really like the sound this album has and the only track I don’t like is Live For

It’s one of those albums that don’t hit you the first few times you listen to it and then one time BOOM it hits you all at once. It used to be my least favorite album by Abel and now it’s my second fav before Trilogy

Kissland too IS my personal favourite out of the discography. This album made me think different about my creativity.

Kiss Land is definitely my favourite. The first 4 songs placement is such a perfect start with amazing transitions. Tears in the Rain is my favourite song of them all.

This was probably my favorite concert to attend of all time. Not only cuz i was 5th row but cuz the entire feeling of the album and concert was jus AMAZING! Like someone in the comments said it is truly unmatched!

The theme of this album was the tour life... He never went out of Toronto or Canada till 21, and that can be seen in this album... He also mentioned this album was related to Japan, as he thought of Japan as a different world with fear of the unknown... Japan was also the first foreign place he went to... you may check he's music videos of this album out and you'll see the relation to Japan

I love the story telling on Kiss Land, it's beautiful. Professional, Love in the Sky, Kiss Land, and Tears in the Rain are the ones I enjoy the most. I think you will like My Dear, Melancholy, the production is amazing on that as well. It's very dark, per usual lol. Glad to see you enjoyed your journey through Kissland. Abel really went big with this album and it’s honestly one of the best, if not the best in terms of vocal performances in his discography.
(Also, I don’t know about most people but the length of the tracks was and has still been no issue to me. If anything it’s almost unnoticeable once your in the trance of the songs + the transitions are just wildly thrilling. Guess it speaks to his greatness even further.)
For me, the album gets much better when you listen to the songs he sampled for these songs!

You are so right about this album not being an album you can just "casually" listen to. I find this album perfect to listen to when I'm alone in my car.
Lay down in a dark room, maybe have some green/purple/red changing lights. Air con cooling the atmosphere, and put a dope set of headphones on. Lay down and listen to Kiss Land all the way through. One of the best things you will ever experience in this world. 🖤

Kiss land has some of my favorite songs from the weeknd. I've been xo since 2012. When kiss land came out it was very different for me but I loved it. The production is amazing and the vocals are amazing. Belong to the world and adaption have been my favorites. I personally think you'll like BBTM (beauty behind the madness) it has a great variety of sounds ex.angel and tell your friends.
