I had so much fun making this asmr clay cracking compilation, including the thumbnail where I got to go full on vaporwave. I thought about including more retro things like the MSN messenger icon, ICQ flower, Napster logo and MS Word Paperclip but this video was getting too long so I might save those for a future video. Also realised a lot of my viewers may not recognise those as easily as more recent trends that are centred around TH-cam. After making clay cracking videos for a few months now, I finally have the hang of how to get the perfect surface. The polish needs to feel tight and "clicky", with enough surface tension to crack apart. If the surface feels quite soft and gummy when you press on it, then leave it to dry for another 8-12 hours. Using a lot of acrylic paint will also slow down the drying process because the moisture in the clay keeps the polish soft. For best results, use pre-coloured clay out of the packaging instead of coloring white clay. Alternatively, you can make everything using white clay and then paint the surface using watercolor or gouache.

The only one I know of is that it has to give that zing feeling. So it would probably change from person to person.

Yes, it is getting boring. I know having a child is a lot of work. Maybe she does not have the time for actual diys and has to grab cheap, inexpensive trends so the algorythm is pleased. I wish it was more like in old times.

Katie Scheuermann I agree. I always loved her videos as they were so unique and you could never really find anything like it anywhere else. I also loved how most of her DIYs wear something that you could keep forever as a sort of keepsake, or give as a gift (I still have the panda plushy that I made from one of her old tutorials a few years ago). But now her videos are all one-time experiments that are all over TH-cam. Her videos used to be very unique, but now they just seem like trends that everyone else does.

if they don't like the spreading they can just skip cause personally I LOVE the spreading and find it annoying when the cray cracking ends too quickly without really getting everything. That's one of the things I love about your clay cracking, the length and everything you do is just perfect in my opinion

The algorithm demands easy-to-make, over 10 minute content that can be released very quickly. This, as well as the stress of motherhood, means that it's a lot more difficult for her specifically to make content
With other people it also halts their creativity as they will not be rewarded for taking a while to post videos

I've been thinking about other resources that you could use for clay cracking, and I was wondering if sugar would work? Melted sugar over clay and leave to harden surely will give a fairly good cracking sound?
It could even be made edible by possibly using soft block icing and molding that, then covering it with sugar

Me and my brother bought a lot of fidget spinners .... now they just lay around the house. My kitten found pne once and started to spin it with her paws. Now I'm pretty sure we just left it on the floor so she can play with it. XD

It’s not the thumb spread that makes it not satisfying. It’s just that when you play with it, your hands look very stiff which makes it not that satisfying. I noticed this also when you play with slime.

I think the whole tide pod trend should be left forgotten, it was never fun, just dangerous and should have never been a trend. Meanwhile all the other trends shown here were just harmless fun. I think it would have been best to leave the tide pods out
What happened to the diys? I know this is your channel and you can post whatever you want but I'm getting very bored of clay cracking. I know that having a child is work, do maybe you don't have enough time to, and you're posting whatever you can so the algorithm is pleased but we all miss the olden days. Clay cracking is kind of getting out of trend I guess?

I didnt eat breakfast or lunch yet, so when I saw the Nyan cat and the sprinkles, I literally drooled.
I’m not really one for ASMR normally, but I really loved the sound of the ‘sprinkles’ falling and hitting the metal sheet and the woe pink sounds of the metal sheet it’s self. To me it sounded just like rain on an old tin roof and distant thunder, both sound I find extremely calming and relaxing , I sleep with the side of my bed right up next to my window and when the summer storms hit ( life in a tropical climate it rains all through summer but does nothing to calm the intense heat, just only makes it feel worse coz the humidity is always so high 🙄) I always leave the window open so I can hear the rain and have it lul me to sleep at night.
Does it work with gel polish after curing it in the LED/ UV lamp? That would be cool.
Can you mix the clay cracking clay with slime to see if it turns into butter slime?
