Wow, wish it was the whole song. Love me some Angie Bofil! I see Francisco Centeno on bass, Pieces of A Dream's keyboardist, Federico Pena? Keys. Would love to see the whole concert. Thanks for posting.

@gemmni1 What are you talking about? Angela Bofill did very well. Only a tiny fraction of singers even land record deals - let alone hits. It's extremely rare.

I am considered white, 50% I Italian, & I think this lady can sing! I am 49 years old & I've been listening to her since back in the late 70's. I agree with you, the "Beyoncés and Taylor Swifts" of the world are at harms way of getting hurt through bad relationships & drama. Angela Bofill is fine, the lady can sing, and to me, that's all it really matters. I know she loves "The Lord"!

Baboontroop, she's older now...things change physical, voice etc... they don't stay the same. You keep living and then see what will happen to you. She's still an awesome lady with a good heart and spirit.

@gemmni1 She needed to have a hit to make it as big as Whitney

that's true, but unlike Whitney, Clive didn't seem to understand Phyllis or Angela. He signed two R&B/jazz chanteuses and proceeded to stick them with slick producers and give them crazy dance tracks like "Riding the Tiger" or "Can't Slow Down". I know Angie was looking to crossover (and she did do a few great songs at Arista like "Tonight I Give In" and this one), but i think she would've been better off had she just stayed with GRP stuck with jazz.

Clive just wasn’t the right record label executive for them. Their career and life they would’ve still been here and performing.
