- Spending on Idle Heroes has its risks. The main one is that what you buy is worthless after a few years. Here we have a wake-up call and a perfect example of why spending lots on this game can be unwise.

4:45 You forgot a 4th reason. Calamity. Sometimes life just gets in the way and there are Extenuating circumstances that cause someone to walk away for some time. I had something happen to me, although not a whale in any game, and I had to take a significant break (for me) from playing my games.
that's why you should never spend money on such games, one day you get bored, stop and lose everything...
Ancient Idle heroes, when getting 5 star heroes was actually exciting. And the only major P2W advantage was Splendid artifacts.
I don't think I would be able to fully commit to this account mostly because I do not rellate to it, another factor though is that I don't know where to begin but since ssm is my favourite transcendence hero I would keep him as my main house holder, replace sthe vesa with sfx for mockman's tenants.

Hi Mk, I have managed to clear campaign with my v3 Holmes Young and an e5 tix. But I cant go into void as I only have 3mil transcendence material so far. So sad times, I have nothing to do but sit back and wait.

Had a time similar to this, dropped 200 in a week, told myself to stop spending and immediately lost interest because no progress being made, sucks sometimes

The problem with whales account: if you stop spending and caring, you will never catch back to competitors. Idle heroes has sadly shifted from p2w to p2play: A lot of resources aren't farmable, you need to buy them with ca$h every single month.
I was once given a VIP 9 account but stopped playing with it soon after: you just don't have the satisfaction of having built your dream team and sweating for it and the level of frustration at the end of the day is the same than for f2p, just different road blocks. Also, landing on the Everest with an helicopter is in fact not rewarding to me...

This is the reason I hated this game! All the characters you invested in spending thousands of dollars are complete garbage now because of fast-shifting meta. You should either stay F2P and be happy or be ready to spend millions of dollars to keep up with the game! When this game first came out, I remember spending literally a thousand dollars just to get corpsedemon to 10 star!

I think it means more like you're not doing anything in battles
"idle" in the sense that you don't have to spend a lot of time, obv. Typically they go for 5-30m a day, depending on the game.

The fact that the game doesn't collect every resource in the game for you and I have to get on the game in order to get the resources automatically sums up the fact that this isn't a idle game.
