Honestly knowing your hatred for Dominique Faure, I thought she'd be last hahaha glad to see she wasn't. I personally don't like her but it's always a good feeling to have your version up more in ranks. Really unique ranking, I don't think I've ever seen a full ranking of Vanessa voices that's quite as detailed! Some of these choices were really surprising, because they differed quite a bit from your Ariel ranking, like Johanna so low was really shocking. Although I have a nostalgic enjoyment of Johanna in her main songs, I think she has a completely amateurish level of failure in other parts. Like how she takes that horribly misplaced breath in her vocalizations. Why didn't they do a retake? THEY COULD HAVE DONE ANOTHER TAKE. Same thing here, she pauses for breath between ocean...will be... mine! And the 'mine' wobbles :(
Well, Johanna Nurmimaa as Vanessa sounds more like Maleficent disguised as an Aurora look-alike to hypnotize Prince Philip (Black Aurora, Eclipsa?), IMO.
What I love about Isela Sotelo is that she lowers a little the voice and gives a darker tone to it, is still Ariel's but with that difference and for me it gives an identity to the voice when Ursula is using it
Nicey! And yep, the unknown Hindi singer of Vanessa is not the same as the unknown Hindi singer of Ariel. She probably did sing this part in Tamil though; and she rather sounds the same as her Ariel voice to me....no change in personality. I might just keep Polish higher, nice voice actress; transformed totally from the softy Ariel to a totally vampire Vanessa. I think I might be in the minority who doesn't like LA Spanish all that much, she's overdramatic to me, Castilian is such a contrast tho, she almost sounds satanic! My top 5 Vanessa's apart from Jodi must be Castilian, Polish, Slovak, French 89 & Japanese.....so yeah. I agree more or less with everything.

I think Claire Guyot sounds better than Marie Galey. Marie's voice is digitally altered and she has this nasal sound. Plus, Claire sounds more bitchy and villain like.

Fun fact: Isela Sotelo (Latin Spanish) is also Ariel's singing voice. Very appropriate considering that Vanessa uses Ariel's stolen voice.
