Anyone else crying for some reason? Just seeing all these people fulfilling their dreams..being so happy makes me happy, and angry all at the same time. My knee injury only allows minimal riding and now my dreams are gone. But watching these makes me feel what I wanted 😢 I just love it and I'm so happy for everyone
i couldn't agree more! it makes me so happy to see this for some reason, and it gives me hope. I myself have a knee injury as well atm, and it sucks! I can't ride and train my 3 year-old horse, which ain't too good since he needs lots of training :/
@@daalin69 I had a 1 year old filly who I was working on training and..my dad was extremely worried of accident..well she slipped and fell on top of me in the mud. So, ..as soon as that happened my dad said that I had to give her up. I miss her a lot and it's a because of my knee. The knee injury. .basically traumatized my whole family.
congrats to you Matt. Great job of commentating. You have a big career ahead of you in the arena of equestrian media. I have watched some of your other videos, and have concluded that in this role you really are impressive. Go for it.
I can't believe Jonelle and Tim price weren't mentioned. They both had a great year but other than that the video brought tears to my eyes. Thank for posting it
I cannot believe Beezie is STILL competing! SHEESUS! And that Ros Canter! I LOVE HER! Teenie little lass on that big powerful horse! And that last name!! How happy must she be to have THAT surname?! LOL
Thanks for your comment. As am sure you can imagine, we had so many great moments in the sport in 2018 and it was sometimes difficult to make a choice.
am I the only one who celebrates the Horses as much if not sometimes more than the people ? like I know what it takes to ride, but the horses are also incredible, doing amazing things out there...
I’m so proud of my country (Denmark) in the dressage world. My idol is Andreas Helgstrand, and I see more and more Danes winning dressage championships these days!💞
At #9 I didnt see the Italian rider give his horse a big pat on the neck to tell him GOOD JOB, even tho they fell a bit shy of first place! That always pisses me off! When they are winning they are cantering around patting their horses neck!! He did his best for you and second place is nothing to sneeze at! Especially at THAT level of competition!
Hey Matt - found this very interesting - loved #20, so beautiful to what but not sure so about the reining, how could they possibly think that head carriage is good for the horse!! Go figure.
I always recognize Verdades by his funny star. It looks like it was put on in two pieces and the top half stuck to the broadband and got moved sideways.
Why Jonelle Price's wins and Badminton and Luhmuhlen,as well as her Husband Tim Price's win at Burghley left out of the top 20 Equestrian moments for 2018? Both of these people deserved a mention, and it's a disgrace that they were left out!!!
MissJools11 so who would you drop to keep it to 20.? Remember that removing someone from a discipline that is just not your favorite is not reasonable. Only select from same discipline.
Thanks for your comment. As am sure you can imagine, we had so many great moments in the sport in 2018 and it was sometimes difficult to make a choice.

I have a knee injury too! I know I was tearing up because of seeing the joy and accomplishment of these people
@@hoppilyeventing4538 ugh this comment made my day😭😭

brought tears to my eyes. wonderful moments, thanks for the video!
Really good video!
Matt Harnacke😍😍
Para-dressage, that opened my heart. Fighting for your dream sport despite difficult circumstances, that's so impressive and inspirational.
Wow! Looking back, it’s been a great year!
I cannot believe Beezie is STILL competing! SHEESUS! And that Ros Canter! I LOVE HER! Teenie little lass on that big powerful horse! And that last name!! How happy must she be to have THAT surname?! LOL
I really like the video. What I like the most about it, is that there are moments from different disciplines!
I love how diverse and positive this video is! Celebrating all people and all different types of equestrian sports all in one!
And that is why I love this sport
No Dan Huss and Ms.Dreamy? That was an unforgettable ride!
Oh hi Matt! Wasn't expecting to see you here. Pleasant surprise!
Amazing thank you! Loved the Dressage moments!
Jonelle Price and her legendary Badminton victory should have been included but other than that a very memorable list!
Thanks for your comment. As am sure you can imagine, we had so many great moments in the sport in 2018 and it was sometimes difficult to make a choice.

YAY! Awesome to see some reining on this list!!!
Cathrine Dufour breaking the world record back in February 2018 of the FEI degree of difficulty should be in a top 20, tbh

everyone has their own opinion on different parts of the equestrian community, there are ups and downs in everything :)
Am I the only one who get's kind of ticked when riders don't praise their horses after their rounds - good or bad. :)
I loved the first choice even through Sweden lost that gold but what a jumping both teams did
This will be me some day!
