“I have been falling... for 30 minutes!” to me sounds better than half an hour because of the pause he takes from breathing. It just has almost a better musical beat to it in a way.

I remember the "I got that reference" immediately. Because Fury's line is "I'd like to know how Loki used (the cube) to turn two of the sharpest minds I know into his personal flying monkeys."
It's a really good line. It's just wonderfully framed too. Letting Cap be on the inside of an in-joke for the first time in a long time.
It's the scepter, but otherwise correct :-)
I always thought the joke with the “personal flying monkeys” reference was the fact it’s a reasonably common saying these days meaning “someone lackeys” but from Steve’s perspective it’s very much still just a movie reference
It's also incredibly incorrect as the Flying Monkeys are essentially just mercenaries that need to do the bidding of the holder of a rather silly looking hat three times.
Missing that question is like missing "Who is Harry Potter's mother?"
I thought I wouldn't be this starstuck over being mentioned after submitting my question, but I screamed out loud. It has been so much more fun than I thought trying to come up with questions :D

Star Wars was in the seventies I think and Ben’s over here like “Death Star because it was around Steve’s times” ya know, WW2, 1940’s around 30 years before Star Wars was even thought of XD

@@Thunderbender18830 Well it did come out just a week before the war, perhaps he didn't make early showings. Of course he would have had extra time, before America joined in, but I'm sure he spent most of that trying to enlist., Except for when Bucky made sure he had some fun.
If I remember correctly, Loki lost a bet to Thor and that is why we did the D.B. Cooper thing. I had to pause the show as well and laughed so hard. My husband was so confused as he doesn't know anything about D.B.
Just saying, considering Loki is an Asgardian the more favorable colloquialism of "half an hour" might be 1) more of an Earth thing, and 2) a more modern way to say 30 minutes. Personally I think him saying thirty minutes instead of half an hour makes him sound older and more alien which makes sense for his character.
I think also it works as a larger unit of time to our minds as an audience.
30 of a thing is far greater than 1/2 of something.

First, notice that the biblical description also tells of the reconstruction of the city.
Second, the archeological record of Jericho contains multiple rounds of significant destruction.
We will leave it up to the archeologists to debate when do those events line up.

yeah but if you looked at the multiple choice it was about the length of time not exactly what he said. So half an hour is equal to 30 minutes.

EVERYONE in California considered that the easiest question of the quiz! EVERYONE in California instantly recognized Randy's Donuts in the movie.

J's always been able to BS and technicality his way into points he shouldn't have gotten - there's even one quiz where he straight up changes his answer after they've revealed and they let him have the point. Total BS.

Dice throne! I love that game. I’ve been playing it for years and even helped them out at PAX running their booth once. Great game and great company. Plays a lot like Yahtzee with hero’s. Super fun, highly recommend!

7:13 Ben.. The Death Star is from Star Wars; which came out in 1977. Steve got frozen in 1945.. You were not close, and Steve did not know about Star Wars while he was in his own time period.
