You know, I grew up watching Sooty.. it all started in 1988, my mother introduced me to the magical show, as she herself got to see Sooty when Harry was in charge. I still watch, and don't care what anyone else says. Never too old to watch a bit of Sooty!

It is such a shame the effect of the Blarney Stone was nothing but a joke... Sooty is such a character, and is really expressive in his mood and movements. He doesn't need a voice but after all those years of silence he sure deserves one. Oh well, it was a great episode anyway.
Hit Entertainment almost tried to give him a voice during their time with the character, but he is a silent star and giving him a voice is pointless when his actions in mood and movements like you said speak louder than any words written on paper. Only reason Butch became a regular member and Scampi basically written out in 'Sooty 01-04' is for more talking scenes than the chaos and mayhem scenes.
This episode makes it seem like Irish people live in whitewashed cottages and travel around by horse. Why does the U.K. always insist on stereotyping Ireland like it’s still the 1920s?

It would be nice if he could speak though.
I'm 31 and started binge watching it. Honestly, it's more hilarious as an adult to me.

@@thesooterieshow Really wasted opportunity though, that could've been worth something.
@@thesooterieshow It really would've been nice to let Sooty have a voice.
I disagree. It's Sooty's trademark and how everyone knows him. It would be weird if he suddenly started talking.
@@WeeNat313 I wouldn't find it wierd.

He was mentioned and Mo too. Scampi couldn't come to Ireland so he stayed behide

@@serendavies7375 Dunno. Something about the tone he used just seemed to grind my nerves back then.

Stuff like this is actually good for a country's tourism industry.
