What a great video capturing all the key moments of the H18CW Retreat and Training. This video will forever be a memorable event for many generations to come in the history of the Hmong 18 Councils of Wisconsin. Nothing like this has been done before at this magnitude.
Congratulations to Patha and Madam Pakeng Vang for your love and commitment to your 18 Hmong Clan Members in Wisconsin.
    Well done!!!
    ~Dr George N Lor

It's good that they're able to organize a gathering like this for an event, but the sad truth is that besides their immediate family members, outside of that no one really cares to want to listen to them. For example they said no Hmong bride should exceed $5,000, but yet some hmong brides parents don't care for that rule and still want the groom to pay up to $10,000. Some Hmong parents say, "We don't care for that rule because that rule don't apply to us so we don't acknowledge it."

There are some Hmong broken rules, but the majority Hmong citizens do respect the rules.

Agree. These leaders only worked for the old country. In America, everyone is on their own. Our leadership is with the US govt.

Religion and tradition play an important role in the Hmong community. Until this issue is resolved, the Hmong community will never unite as one. For example, white Americans have different groups; Christians, Catholics, Lutherans, Prostestants, etc. But what do they all believe in? GOD or Jesus Christ.
Here is an idea for you. Next time at a retreat, invite other Hmong leaders (church, other Hmong orgs etc.) outside your group to join you. Create topics for discussion and be willibg to take in constructive criticisms. This could be a start for untiing as one.
