- We're firing things up for #harvest18! We had a great first day without any issues!
How Farms Work by Ryan Kuster is a TH-cam channel based in rural Potosi, Wisconsin.
Our mission is to teach those who didn't grow up on a farm what the farming life is like. Our videos show the Kuster family working together raising cattle and crops. We believe everyone who wants to know more about farming should be able to share the farming experience with us and we look to educate the world on many essential agriculture topics.
How Farms Work takes place on ~1,100 acres with around 75-200 cattle at any given time. Four John Deere tractors are currently used on the farm, which are a 4020, 4640, 7600, and 8235R.

Had such a beautiful sky this morning and your video captured some of that gorgeous sky. Was worried when I looked at my phone this morning before getting Scarlet (niece) on the bus, but storm must have slid south.

Your videos of the green corn fields in the summer & now the fall harvest just brings back all those great memories of that wonderful area! I'm just west of Milwaukee sitting for a 34 hour reset at a god forsaken truck stop wish I was closer by to peep out the harvest and lend a hand if need be I don't like sitting with nothing to do I like to stay busy on something haha may y'all have a great and safe harvest! Cheers bud

Watching you working at night reminded me of a conversation I had with my dad's cousin over daylight saving time, I told him my grandpa had said it was just so city folks could get enough time in to play golf in the afternoon because a farmer worked form can't see to can't see. Primo looked at me and said nope then you turn on the lights and keep going till the work is done that's why there are lights on tractors

I left the farm for the suburbs 25 years ago. (My combine was a JD 6601 pulled by a 4430.) This is very exciting. Your dog is beautiful.

Great vid. Been watching a long time, and think it's time for a semi. Just natural progression- been there and done that. Once you have a semi, like the cart, you can't imagine how you were able to do without. Keep it up!

Good start to hopefully a great harvest season for you all! The drone footage was excellent! That thing has fantastic high definition video! The 🌽 behind my place that I rent out is still mostly green but getting there quickly. Usually they harvest it around late October to mid November.

knocked the cobwebs off everything, give it a good inspection and if the weather man cooperates, hammer time. 260 is looking pretty promising.
Have you thought of adding a saddle to the top of the bin to make lining up the auger easier? Along with the support for the auger.
