    Cara uma performance dessa ao vivo com uma banda formada apenas por quatro integrantes. Mano é totalmente diferente. É surreal. É um espetáculo. É um colorido pros olhos. É uma honrra pros nossos tímpanos. Simplesmente. É eterno. Eu serei eternamente grato. Por poder ouvi-la..

    Of course we all miss Squire and Anderson in Yes. But damn do I really, really miss Mr. White. I have met him a couple times and there isn't a more of a nice rock star. Earth was a better place with Squire and White around. I always just stared at White on the kit. Tremendously talented dude. Yes drumming ain't easy and if you could pull that off and write a lot of the music...hats off to you. Also being hand selected by a Beatle doesn't hurt the drumming resume either. Godspeed Alan...Godspeed.

    An absolute clinic by Rabin on singing harmony while killing it on lead guitar.

      Was thinking the same thing especially with Squire hanging out on the verses you really hear what Rabin is doing against his guitar work.

      I had seen this performance back in the day *before* hearing the studio version for the first time, and only *then* did I realise there must've been something wrong with his bass rig here! 😄 It was more obvious / audible during 'Owner Of A Lonely Heart' with all those crackling noises, though!

    Steven Howe was the original Monster but Trevor Rabin held his own as Yes changed their sound in 80's (more harmony). It was fantastic to see these two monster guitarist join forces on the reunion tour.

    • @liontone
      @liontone 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes didn’t really change their sound. Rabin was forming a band with White, and Squire called Cinema. The record company “demanded” they get Jon Anderson and call it Yes. Lol. 🤷‍♀️

    One of my favorite Yes songs, and this live version sounds remarkably well if you factor in all the production that went into the studio version. The only bad thing about this performance are all the Euro mullets. I understand that it was the 80's, but their coifed do's make Duran Duran look like the lineup for Motorhead.

      I was totally into Yes and saw them live often in those days. They were such a busy band I wasn't sure how it would run at a big commercial production like this anniversary, but they killed it. The other memory I have of this show, was Paul Rogers doing dock of the bay. It's here in YT, check it out.

    • @evankeal
      @evankeal 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Carl K thats not true, i can recall countless backing vocal tracks used starting with the 90125 tour. in those days leave it was almost all pre recorded. rhythm of love always has a lot of tapes. Dont go is another track with tapes. Your statement is correct for any song appearing on an album recorded before 90125 regardless of when it was performed.
