    Found myself here after realising I'm very unhappy. No job, unhappy relationships with girlfriend and family. 22 years old but no life, maybe I've become complacent idk. Or maybe I'm just useless I couldn't do it

      @gxediits  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I promise you that’s not true, you’re not useless. You’re so young and you have your whole life ahead of you. Trust that the universe has a plan for you and that your soul will end up where it belongs. That may be corny to say and it may seem stupid to you right now, but never give up hope that the future has wonderful things in store for you. Don’t beat yourself up for feeling like you don’t have your life together right now. You will get through this.

    I'm sorry but I don't like this song being used for broken men. Men are not "little birds". This song was specifically written for the movie "Suspiria" which is most definitely not about men. Broken men can find their own song. This one belongs to broken females. th-cam.com/users/shortsWS2yuS6tpQ8?si=fWirVq5b8U_vNqaG

    • @gxediits
      @gxediits  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I’ve seen that film. But this song is also featured in “Peaky Blinders.” As a woman myself, I truly believe this song isn’t sex-specific. It’s about the deep complexities of life and the struggles we ALL face, our shared humanity. The song is about vulnerability and seeking refuge to find peace, hence the lyric: “come under my wings little bird.” Brokenness is not unique to women and it is unfair to discredit the suffering that men also endure. It’s a versatile piece of music that anyone can relate to, regardless of their sex. It does not “belong” to just women. It belongs to anyone who has ever felt emotional weight, pain, or anguish.

    • @carladavis4639
      @carladavis4639 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@gxediits If u saw the film and understood it then u should know that song belongs to Mother. She is bringing the other girls who didn't wish for death (the broken ones) "under her wing". It was her personal message to them and was written that way. I'm aware the song is briefly in season 6 of Peaky Blinders but it shouldn't have been. Thom Yorke is a sell out for allowing it to be used for Tom Shelby ( a character I also like) but this is not a PTSD song. This is an unmaking of the false Mother song plain and simple.

    • @gxediits
      @gxediits  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@carladavis4639 In my opinion, the song is able to beautifully capture both atmospheres across both films. This is turning into more of a subjective debate. I don’t completely disagree with your take on the song, there definitely is a feminine aspect. But I also believe that it’s versatile enough to be used to relate to other modes of suffering and brokenness seen in both male and female characters, including PTSD and other forms of mental/emotional anguish. Songs mean different things to different people and one person’s subjective opinion about a song may differ from someone else’s. It truly depends on how you connect to the music. We both feel differently and I respect that.

    I don't understand how he could be that hung up on one woman. I understand the PTSD part from the war, it's not fair to the mother of his other child. Plus he is gypsy grieving for the dead will keep them trapped her

    • @gxediits
      @gxediits  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      personally, i believe it’s because he lost a part of himself during the war and when he met grace, he let her become a piece of him too. after she died and he lost her, he simultaneously lost another part of himself again. all of the loss he experienced and the trauma he endured from the war was a lot for him to deal with mentally and emotionally- which explains his hallucinations after grace died and his episodes of PTSD in the later seasons of the show.

      @@Theyareout2getme I do agree with you, he definitely should've treated Lizzie much better. I think he was just scared to let anyone get close to him again because he kept losing almost everyone he cared about.

      Love, man. It fucks you up inconceivably and you lose all rationality. Can't move on even if you want to. I never thought it was his PTSD from the war. It was his PTSD in not just losing her, but also being responsible. The guilt over what he did to her and Charlie is what crippled him. He was never able to move on from that and he was never able to love anyone else because he was still in love with her. Tragic, but true to life.
