    just come across this video - best tip for the Enan, Akto or Soulo is get the Groundsheet - not so much for protecting the tent, although this is an obvious benefit but it helps greatly to reduce the condensation in all of them. Grass/vegetation adds to condensation considerably, block this off it is of huge benefit not to mention having a more comfortable inner area to live. I would add one thing, they really did miss a trick with not having the Akto "flap" over the door on the Enan, a rare oversight i must say from Hilleberg! Safe travels and clear skies.

      Glad you found my channel and this a bit older video… Totally agree on the flap from the Akto… a big miss and would help a lot with the condensation problems Enan has. Not a big fan of ground sheets but, agree with you on this 🙂👍🏻 safe hiking//R

    Well thought out video, love the plan and the editing. There is been said so much about the Enan in other videos, but you succeed to pick some interesting fresh topics about it. Best regards from another Hilleberg fan from Spain.

    In a storm, you not going to be able to cook inside as the porch gets pushed in, you also wont be able to sit up as wind gusts will make the pole hit your head hard as it drops.
    Had the Akto, would close the vents at the ends at night and leave the zipper unzipped at the top which would result in a soaking inner, but that was fine as all you need to do is give it a wipe before sitting up, so not an issue.

    Cool review. The Enan is listed as a 3 season tent, but I don't think the weather here in Northern Ireland is extreme enough in Winter to bother this tent. Definitely considering getting one. ATB Sinco

      @roberthammenrudh  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks a lot for those words.! Well yes, Enan is a three season tent due to the fact it has no ventilation at the top, only a problem if too much snow. If there is a risk I would pick another tent for winter, otherwise perfectly ok.

    Excellent, Robert. You answered my question about condensation + several replies provided additional user experiences. I'm surprised you didn't have the footprint, I can't imagine anyone pitching any Hilleberg tent without the footprint. I just subscribed & rang the notification bell. I'm seriously considering buying this tent. Your video will definitely help me make the command decision.
    I wish you'd said something about your experiences with this tent in gusty windy conditions. Fortunately, several replies were helpful. Warm Regards from Reno, Nevada U.S.A. Yes, I've read all the replies B4 composing mine.

      Thanks and welcome to the channel 🙏🏻👍🏻 well regarding footprint I think the bathtub floor is strong enough to withstand a lot and even though it will handle condensation a bit better with the footprint I didn’t want the added weight. I have been lucky regarding stringer winds myself, heavy rain no problems. Others claim it to be very resistant to stronger winds but as for all small tents they tend to shrink a bit. But it will hold up and keep you safe in most conditions out there. I wish you all the best and good luck with the purchase, the hardest part is to choose the colour! I like them all three...but green is a bit more stealthy.

      @@roberthammenrudh I bought my dark green Enan in March of 2020 & have enjoyed it immensely. So easy to pitch & I feel safe & secure from Mother Nature when she is blowing up a strong gusty windy night of nasty weather.
      There are 2 supplementary attachment points at both ends of our tent for additional guyout lines. Have you ever added them to one end or the other & would you recommend staking the added guyout lines with their own stakes or staking the added guyout lines to the one already being used?

    • @roberthammenrudh
      @roberthammenrudh  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@azclaimjumper hi, i have never used the extra guy out points but could be a good idea if you know you will use it in places with a good chance for stronger winds. For that job I would also suggest that you use extra pegs/peg for the added guy line.

    Thanks for a great review. I just found your channel and really like the dense, good cut and length of your reviews! It looks like you are using the XTherm sleeping pad by the color of it. Is it the large version (saw that you had that in another review), and if so how does it fit with the width of the tent being 60 cm, and the large XTherm being maximum 64 cm wide, any issues? Also wonder how tall you are?

    • @roberthammenrudh
      @roberthammenrudh  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for your positive feedback 😊 and welcome to the channel. Well, yes it is the Xtherm Large version and due to it is mummy shaped it is only 64 cm wide in the shoulder area so no problem and is a great match for the tent. I am 180 cm long 🙂

    Tack! Hilleberg menar att det är möjligt att använda tältet för två om man avlägsnar innertältet. Är det något du testat?

    • @roberthammenrudh
      @roberthammenrudh  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      * Redigerat då jag läste fel först*
      Hej Johan, ja det vet jag inte riktigt om jag håller med om…Tältet är bara 60 cm i ändarna, så även om du tar bort innertältet blir det för smalt för två liggunderlag. Dock inget jag testat.
      Även totalbredden lämnar lite att önska…men kanske går det att trycka in, men inget jag skulle rekommendera. 🤷🏼‍♂️

    Hi, Russia is here. Thank you for detailed review. I consider to purchase a tent from Hilleberg. Their weight and selfstanding ability are my main options. What do you thing about an Unna tent? What are the differences beteeen Enan and Akto tents?

    • @roberthammenrudh
      @roberthammenrudh  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Russia ✋🏻🙂 and thanks. Regarding Enan and Akto the difference is that Enan is a 3 season light weight option while Akto is made for 4 seasons and have therefore stronger fabrics and a high placed vent. Otherwise they are very similar. I have no experience regarding Unna but can imagine it’s great. But, in that weight category you have also 2p tents with more space. So first question is if you want a 3 or 4 season tent...

    Looking for advice on improving the pitch of my Hilleberg Enan. I use my Hilleberg Enan when I am planning on pitching above the tree line and expecting foul weather such as high winds and significant rain. I am hoping someone might be able to provide some advice on reducing the outer fabric from flapping excessively.

    • @roberthammenrudh
      @roberthammenrudh  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi and yes, difficult for any tent to "not flapping" in strong winds. But when expecting strong winds close at least one of the storm flaps, then turn that side against the wind when pitching. (you can off course close both if you want).
      I also recommend to attach the extra guy lines at the ends and secure them separately, that will decrease the flapping a bit. AND as always, a tight pitch and some rocks on top of the pegs.
      Nothing more to do really... good luck!

      @@roberthammenrudh I was thinking the same that closing a storm flap would help, but the weather didn't give me a chance to confirm. Was thinking about making a footprint for the Enan. Do you use a footprint and can you say if it adds to the stability/tightness of the pitch?

    • @roberthammenrudh
