Accidentally found your last man cave and can’t wait to see this one. I am a little handy, but not like you have going on. Bought my first house in August and have my own mancave with an additional unfinished room that I am trying to work on and get some ideas

Just stumbled across ur channel by happy accident. You do clean work my friend. You have obviously upgraded in terms of house size, but man did I love your old bar! First thing I thought of when u said what do I do with this big space, and a epic play room is probably the prudent thing to do, was an awesome movie theater room. Space is perfect for it, imho. Look forward to the updates bro 🤘🏻

Thanks for the kind words! The old bar was hard to sell that’s for sure but I like the challenge of building a new one! Previous owner had that room set up as a makeshift theatre and you’re right the space is perfect so that was my first thought as well but I really don’t watch that many movies so feel it would be under utilized. Some progress has been made on the rest of it though will have to make an update video soon, thanks for your insights !

I think the wall in front of the bathroom door , would have been to block the view into the bathroom from the main room , when the bathroom door was open. Looking fwd to seeing the finished room.

Good point, I’m an open concept guy though….thinking about taking out the wall on the other side now too….if someone wants to sneak a peek, go ahead! Haha 😂 cheers!

Roughly 1500 sq ft , tons of potential and no shortage of ideas , time is the issue but making steady progress on it !

You asked for recommendations.. 1 thing that popped into my mind when I saw the basement.. You may want to get rid of that hideous Leafs wall art that the previous owner obviously left behind.. LOL GoSensGo !

The Sens have a good team and are looking good this year, in the hunt. I hope they make the playoffs , would love to see a Sens/Leafs series like the early 2000’s because they are the only team the leafs can actually beat when it counts 😂

I'm gonna do a mini gameroom on the other side of my bar area. There's a lot of arcade style game companies out there these days. Might put a vinyl record player in there also. Good luck! Definitely want to try and incorporate a shadow box in my bar area from your first video and looking to do a hidden bookshelf door as well.

Where’s a good place to purchase arcade game consoles?

Sounds great, love the retro looks, I’m thinking of doing a wall of old vinyl records for the hidden door, push on pink Floyd to open kind of thing

Open up your feature wall and put the games table in the current guest room - maybe even expand the future closet or the bathroom too. Put a wet bar at the back where the table is now. The golf room becomes the spare/guest room and you can put a secret door into the kids playroom on the other side. You could make the stair wall flush all the way across and put in all kinds of storage and nooks along with the hidden entrance. Anyway - just some thoughts.

Dude 🔥🔥🔥 great ideas thank you! I think your idea of opening it right up is the right call, a lot more mess and work but it’s not too late to do it yet. Would be a total pain in the ass to get a drain to the wet bar at that location but I could put it beside the washroom in the current closet beside where u mentioned to put the table, appreciate your thoughts man!

Was thinking an office/lounge In the back room with a pull down Murphy bed to convert to a bedroom like you mentioned

Also.. a Hidden bookshelf door into the workshop / cold room would be cool.. I got hinges from the Home Depot on line.. dead simple construction.

You read my mind, going to do a hidden door/feature wall with old records and a bookshelf door to secret room with a hidden safe, stay tuned 🤙

See if you can't steal a piece or two of flooring from what will be a future closet into the bedroom (to match your missing piece).

    • @TopCheeseCustoms

Exactly what I was thinking, the missing piece is exact width of a board too so should work out good 👍
