2024: not yet. still in production-mode, and the watch is a future product after miniaturization is successful. right now they are in the process of producing a handheld pocket version that measures levels by placing a finger on the light sensor. currently in the process to work with health insurances in europe and us. hopefully, they will release the product for regular retail as well. would like to see it sold on Amazon.

Hopefully they resist so that no crooked US companies acquire them! Germans are good in engineering so I m confident that they can distribute it them self without crooks tell them what to do.
Compare this to CGMs (Continuous glucose monitors which are minimally invasive and cost at least 120$ / month after an initial $200 investment into the device . It’s about the same , but this tech is basic for now , only measuring single data points when you measure it , vs a continuous measurement every 1-5 min depending on the version of a CGM. I’d stick with CGMs for now until this tech matures and has the continuous monitoring function .

This is not going to happen - glucose is too simple of a molecule that is used everywhere in the body. The light wouldnt be able to differentiate the blood sugar from sugar attached to cells, and inside the cells, as well as differentiate sugar from the literal thousands of similar structured molecules in the body.

I am using FreeStyle Libre with the nightrider, results are really good. I am getting alarms as well as I can share reading.
