    Beautiful work on the MkII, my favourite Speedmaster. Luckily, I own a safe queen which is nearly NOS. It’s so nice to see a MkII restored properly, with the case lines and sunburst respected, and not turned into a bar of soap like so many.

    That looks fantastic. I did not realise you would be able to restore that quite so well. I have this model & it looks similar to this one before your great work. My Father bought it in Zurich in 1970/71 i think. I have it now. Its mechanically perfect but battered a bit by time & wear. Nice strap on that one, mine has a think a Hirsch Monza, black with the large holes. Damn, wish you could do mine! Stuart Cape Town South Africa

      @@Vintwatches Thank you for your quick answer. Last night I found also a similar snail gear and shaft and order two pairs.
      I think you make wonderful stuff and it is an inspiration for me.

    Hi Daniel. Wow, amazing work, just perfect. I have the same case (mine is a Mk 4.5) and I’m gonna contact you to know how much it would cost to me. If the edges are some curved because other not so wonderful polishing process, you can do it too or laser welding would be required? Best regards

    Am I crazy for thinking that i can get parallel brushed lines on a watch case? The brushed surface is a flat surface, its the same surface where the crystal is ,the front of the watch, do you think i can manage this by hand and get a brushed parallel surface? Thank you for video!

    • @marcn8750
      @marcn8750 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can flip the case in the side to be brushed and have a guide like a straight piece of wood.
      Use a ultra fine grey 3 M pad. Lay it flat on a table. Align the guide piece of wood and press the case to its side. Press down lightly the case to the 3M pad and pull toward you in one direction.
      Hope this helps.

    the restoration process was good but the lapping process angle view was far behind your shoulder and your big hand. it's quite far that my eyes couldn't catch it. i am leaning but not at the tricky parts. it's a great results and an awesome job
