    If you don't like the heel of toe up socks, try the shadow wrap heel! It works for toe up and cuff down, and that heel is the only way you'll get me to do toe up socks lol. There's a free tutorial on TH-cam!

      I modify all my toe up socks to the shadow wrap heel! It gives a great fit and a clean, store-bought look.

    Omg yessss I love black sheep yarns. They have such cool stuff (expensive but cool). Side note Biches et Buches is pronunced "Beesh ay Boosh" haha not sure if that helps! 😄

    Double sunday pills like crazy, because it is so soft. It helps a lot if you knit it with a strand of mohair :)

    I could never do this intricat sock! They look like some little fairy deep in the fairy woods would make! You are skilled !!!
    I love that turtleneck peeking out. Reminds me of Norway :) The Sandes garn is a Norwgian brand. Did you get it from Norway or did you get it in US?

    First whaaaatttt so excited!! I can’t find any SG around me so now I can order from you!! And love the streaming on TH-cam!!!!
    I know you probably have a million ideas and things you need to do in your videos. But I was wondering if you could maybe do a video on the different patterns then you would use all your new stock of SG for!!! I hope you are having a great weekend!! Can’t wait to see you soon!

    Has anyone knit both the Sophie shawl and the Sophie scarf? I would love to know how they compare to one another, because it looks to me like the shawl is just a larger version of the scarf. But I could be wrong! Thanks ❤

    I don’t know if loom knitting counts, but I’m knitting a pair of super fuzzy sock booties (from Red Heart’s Calista) as I’m listening to the podcast.

    So I didn't buy any Holst during black friday but I did end up buying some hand dyed and unspunfrom @woolentwine, one of your sock sets and some Gerpard garn mohair to try for the first time. I have this ever growing need to try new yarns, especially ones that are talked up so much. Love the yarns that you are carrying, you have become my new supplier for sure. :)

    How did you get a retailers deal with only 10 skeins in each color? :o I tried getting the retailers agreement with sandnes, and I had to order SO much of each color. Got the small business deal instead, but still need to order minimum 20 skeins of each color :o Drops is very strict with their retailer-agreements, and the first order has to be minimum 20KG :/ I really hope you are able to make a deal with them and sell their yarn despite that, because I know drops is hard to get in the US/Canada

    You can't say that you are on a yarn ban! Please stop it or try harder 😉 Your yarn ban is literally as pathetic as my chocolate ban 🙈🤭 The videos are almost more about buying yarn than knitting.

    I’ve been wanting to buy higher quality yarns like sandnes garn for sweaters but it’s ends up being over $100 for the amount I need. I can just go to a department store and buy a cashmere sweater for that price 😩😩😩

    • @annikak.837
      @annikak.837 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep!! I have fortunately found the love for rustic yarns and I now buy more local yarn, straight from the producer (sheep farm) or a local mill, and that is much cheaper and the yarn is 100 % wool, high quality. Not as soft as a superwash merino but I actually love it because it isn't. :) Price doesn't always mean quality, it can also tell about brand and fame..

    • @mollyoxy
      @mollyoxy ปีที่แล้ว

      @@annikak.837 yeah I live in canada and know some wool suppliers as well. The yarn is pretty scratchy though and there are sometimes bits of grass in the wool 😅 it’s great for layering over thermal layers though. But I’d never make something like a turtle neck with that wool.

    • @annikak.837
      @annikak.837 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh well yes, that is when you would prefer a nice merino wool. So far I also don't like paying more than about 50 euros for yarns for a sweater, so I go with Drops and Hjertegarn yarns if I need softness. :/ If I someday knit a bit less (like 1 sweater a year, not 10 sweaters), I will knit it with more expensive yarn 😅
