This is a helpful video bro a lot of us starting out in the business. We appreciate you sharing this important information and approach to pricing. Thanks man
To all new window cleaners the first time you clean your customer it’s gonna take two or three times longer the second and third time will be cut in half you’ll be able to zoom through the house there’s where you make your profit getting more houses done per day by keeping The same customers year after year
Depending on where you live is how are you Price Windows I live in the mountains people want clean windows to have a nice view of the mountains plus the three story houses in the back and sides so you use a 40 foot ladder on most jobs you charge accordingly
I also include screens tracks seals with my price that way when the wind blows it doesn’t blow dirt back on my clean windows then I get a call back to the house which is what you don’t want do you want your windows to stay clean or longer
If you live in a state where everything is flat you might be able to give a price on the phone you can even punch in your address and use a real estate app to look at the house to see the type Windows to see the Vegetation around the house but if you live in the mountains where every home is usually custom-made never give a price on the phone
There’s three methods of counting windows there’s an app for your cell phone for adding there’s a handheld counter or you can do four lines with a cross across the lines on paper so then you add your Windows 5. 10. 15. 20. And so on and so on and have a set price So it averages out this method is good then you can cross reference to see how many hours it’s going to take
I’ve been cleaning windows for 35 years I never give the price over the phone it never works out I always go to the house specially when you live in the mountains there’s so many things plus customers lie about how many windows they have to get a lower price mutual trust is when you’re standing at the house giving a price nobody Is lying seeing is believing plus you see what kind of ladders you’re gonna need you’re going to see if there’s plants in the way trees in the way all these things changes the price
Thank you for the video. $8 per window seems extremely low. But must work for you and your area. We are currently charging $10.25 per window (including tracks, frames, screens). This is hardly enough for us to stay in business. I am moving my pricing up to $13 per window next month. Pretty sure there are guys on the east coast that charge $20 per window.
I'm on the East Coast. I do storefronts, but the guys I know who do residential are in the $10 per range (not including tracks and screens). The next level pricing is $15 including tracks and screens. Shaka, bra!
If you’re only bidding the job and you’re coming back another time put all your details like one or two stories or three stories what size ladders you’re gonna need any information you’re going to need to make sure your truck is loaded properly
How do you do the pricing with this flat rate model if the home has areas of french windows? Are you counting each unit that contains the french as 1 window?
@@windowcleaningdude7510 Oh man, crazy you came back a year later and replied. Since leaving this comment I have done close to 100 houses going solo. Your site and videos is what got me started, I ordered about $500 worth of gear from your amazon affiliate links back then so hope that commission found its way to you. Thanks for that great content bro!

UNGER BRAND IS USUALLY ONE OF THE BEST, DAWN SOAP AND WATER IS THE BEST.
How do you do the pricing with this flat rate model if the home has areas of french windows? Are you counting each unit that contains the french as 1 window?
If the home only has 1 or 2 windows I just suck it up. Otherwise I would charge $12 - $15 per window depending on how big they are.

Dude, put it in writing. I went blue in the face trying to understand your reverse, upside-down, back-handed logic.
Does your price include cleaning the inside?
Nice
I nide job i have exprince 5years
Is your prize for cleaning the windows inside and outside?
Pretty sure it is both sides
Thank you
You're welcome
charging by window or window pane?
He charges by the window. Unless it's french panes.
@@ShootYourRadio Is "window pane" considered both top and bottom glass of window?
Is this inside and out?
yes
Is that price for inside and outside
Yes its for inside and out. If someone only wants the outside I charge 70% of what the price would have been if they did inside and out.
How about if they want both sides clean?
This is for both sides.
I pay my window cleaner £3.50 and he does a good job!
