Thank you for your post. I have a 2007 Mazda 3, 2.3L. 180,000 miles. I replaced the TCM, because of tranny going into limp mode and it fixed it. Then after a while, morning startup and going a block to stop sign, tranny would show AT light and go into limp mode, but turning car off and then back on, AT light is gone and tranny is okay. Now about a year goes by and car starts showing AT light and going into limp mode plus shifting hard. I replaced the input speed sensor Mazda part #FN01-21-550, unplugged and cleaned all of the contacts going to the tranny. Car is running like new. No AT light. No hard shifts.

Hi! Excellent video! I’m new at this, so I don’t really know what you just said 😂, but I’ll keep watching your video over and over 🎉, until I do! Liked the fact that you drew a diagram somewhat life-size, and showed the actual parts, and then attempted to show where those parts went in your actual vehicle! The fact that you also stated the approximate price for each part, and where you got them, made your video top-rated in my book! Keep up doing excellent videos like this! You really help out the little guy! Thank you so much, again!!!

Question: for preventive measures: would relocating the TCM to prevent overheating induced cold solders be sufficient on later model year of Mazda 5? I am curious if the solenoid and sensor replacement in your case we're caused by broken TCM behavior in the first place. I have a. 2015 mazda 5 sport auto with 75k miles on it and wish to change and refill the trans fluid soon.

Raul you're a blessing! I have a question for you, if you have the time i'd really appreciate any insight. Mazda 3, 2008 - low mileage (100k), AT was flushed twice. Shifts are starting to get rough, at light flashes. Sometimes it gets stuck. Code being recorded is P0841, transmission pressure sensor / switch A. Do you know is this sensor is on the outer body of the TCM? I could definitely disconnect them all and spray them down with electrical cleaner. I can't find a bloody thing about where this sensor is located on the mazda 3.

Analysis E .....check this post on the link I’ve found. Pressure control solenoid A is on the main transmission valve body...see picture
      www.mazda3tech.com/control_valve_body_removal_installation_fs5_a_el_-1015.html
On my 2009 Mazda 5 4 cyl auto, there is another ,secondary valve body, behind firewall and above driveshaft...and it is a bit hard to access, but doable...there are two solenoids there...I would start by replacing the solenoid “A “ on main body....it’s cheap and easy to replace.

@@car-u-fix-it8070 really appreciate your reply raul. I want to highlight for anyone reading this that p0841 is the transmission fluid pressure switch (TFPS), it's not a solenoid, but sure as hell looks like one! On the mazda 3, which is what I am working on, the switch resided above the transmission pan on the outer face, closer to the engine. It's behind the two tubes that run to 19-423 in this schematic catcar.info/mazda/?lang=en&l=bWFya2V0PT11c2F8fHN0PT01MHx8c3RzPT17IjEwIjoiTWFya2V0IiwiMjAiOiJVU0EiLCIzMCI6IjIwMDggTUFaREEzIiwiNDAiOiJHQVNPTElORS1FTkdJTkUgNC1DWUxJTkRFUiBUUkFOU01JU1NJT04iLCI1MCI6IjE5MjBBQiAtIEFVVE9NQVRJQyBUUkFOU01JU1NJT04gQ0FTRSAmIE1BSU4gQ09OVFJPTCBTWVNURU0gKDUtU1BFRUQpIn18fGNhdG5vPT1BVUJBMTJ8fGdycD09QzEgfHxzZWM9PTE5MjBBQnx8eWVhcj09MjAwOA%3D%3D

I'm getting a P0841 and P0732 codes. Already replaced the TCM and the sensors using your video, but these codes reference the transmission fluid pressure sensor/switch "A" Circuit Range performance and Gear 2 Incorrect Ratio respectively. Using the BlueDriver OBD Scan tool it offered replacing the transmission oil pressure switch and automatic transmission shift solenoid. I'm planning on dropping the transmission pan (again) and replacing the solenoids, fluid and filter (I had already replaced the fluid/filter about 10k ago while using your video to replace the sensors and TCM...thanks!). My question is, where is the pressure switch? Been trying to find the location online but no luck. I didn't think about dirty connectors so I'll use some CRC on those.
