So I knew it wasn't a stray cat, most likely he was in a heat period... It happens sometimes, the cat goes in the wild to do what he wants... The poor thing was starving, so since I was going to the market, on the road, i took a couple of different meet to feed him. He was thankfull and tried to climb on my lap and play with me... Never saw him again unfortunately, but I suppose he returned to his family. All that to say, sone animals can trust you without knowing you, you just have to make a first moove and being nice. ^^

Some people are just liked by animals. I'm used to cats. Been around lots of them my whole life, and very in tune to what they want at any moment, so my attitude and motions around them tend to draw them towards me, even when they are terrified of other humans in the area and even my own cats, if i find a stray in my back yard. If they are food motivated, have them come over to you and encourage them to lay down or just enjoy some pets and get rewarded with treats. They will soon associate you to survival and comfort and naturally want to be with you because of the association. Pavlov's dog works very well on cats. With my cat, I did it the wrong way. I forced her to stay with me until she was calm and not trying to escape. Eventually it did work that she wanted to just lay on me anyway, but this way was not good and likely took longer. Also, as cats get older, past 2 years they tend to mellow out a little more and can become more affectionate. Just work on positive association to things you want your cat to enjoy and be okay with. Be it sitting in your lap or going to the vet. Lots of petting, treats and soft soothing voices and blinking at them (kitty kiss, it's a sign of trust to slowly close both eyes when you cat is looking at you, it means you do not perceive them as a threat. Cats usually will return this notion.)

story time, but i have pretty bad depression and winter time last year was the worst for me. i was so unhappy and felt like that's all id ever be, and just wanted to die. on one bad night, i didnt want my family to see me in such a bad state so i sat outside. within a few minutes a stray orange cat walked up to me. id never seen this cat in the neighborhood before ever and immediately she crawled into my lap. she let me pet her and would even rub her face on mine. she fell asleep in my lap for probably 20 minutes before she got up and walked away. it made me stop crying and gave me just a little bit of happiness to keep going. a few days later, i was in a bad state again so i went outside, like before. i sat down and the cat showed up again, but this time with her tiny kitten that looked exactly like her. :' ) it was honestly one of the most precious times of my life and i felt so honored that she would introduce me to her baby. she trusted me enough to let me pet it everything. it made me so happy 😊 after that time, ive never seen the mom cat or her kitten ever again. ive even tried to leave food out but theres no trace of them. im sure they're okay but it's so heartwarming to remember that time when she made a miserable time in my life happier, even if just a little. i am not religious but sometimes i feel like she was some kind of guardian angel cat, lol.

story time, but i have pretty bad depression and winter time last year was the worst for me. i was so unhappy and felt like that's all id ever be, and just wanted to die. on one bad night, i didnt want my family to see me in such a bad state so i sat outside. within a few minutes a stray orange cat walked up to me. id never seen this cat in the neighborhood before ever and immediately she crawled into my lap. she let me pet her and would even rub her face on mine. she fell asleep in my lap for probably 20 minutes before she got up and walked away. it made me stop crying and gave me just a little bit of happiness to keep going. a few days later, i was in a bad state again so i went outside, like before. i sat down and the cat showed up again, but this time with her tiny kitten that looked exactly like her. :' ) it was honestly one of the most precious times of my life and i felt so honored that she would introduce me to her baby. she trusted me enough to let me pet it everything. it made me so happy 😊 after that time, ive never seen the mom cat or her kitten ever again. ive even tried to leave food out but theres no trace of them. im sure they're okay but it's so heartwarming to remember that time when she made a miserable time in my life happier, even if just a little. i am not religious but sometimes i feel like she was some kind of guardian angel cat, lol.
Very true gods furry angels from Heaven...theres something very mystical about a cat..their presence ..Egyptions believed they walk one foot in our relm of existance and another in theirs..they worshiped them as Gods...

Scientifically, cats purring sound really has an amazing cure for humans' anxiety & can reduce the risk of heart attack. Maybe that's why it helped reduced your depression atm. Try to adopt a cat. I hope you will have a good life. :)
