Sam, I’m SO happy that you are able to finally experience having your own suite! As an LMT having that personal space allowed me to flourish in my skills and make the client experience so much better. I immediately became more passionate about going to work and being able to decorate to make the space your own. I will NEVER go back to a commission massage therapist🤎

Congrats, sam! former hairstylist here! I've done both commission based & rented my chair over the years. I stopped for about 10 years after I had our daughter. But decided about 2 years ago to get back into it. Now I'm back to doing commission, but it works for me since I thrive on having structure.

I started watching you just about 5/6 years ago. I was in a really bad DV relationship and kept secluded from the world. Any chance I got because my every move was monitored I ran to your channel for an escape and a safe place! I enrolled in beauty school back in 2009 and never had the privilege of finishing due to that relationship. Over the years I believed I lost my passion and desire for becoming a cosmetologist BUT you continuously make me believe otherwise! I started watching when you were at home with your parents and seeing as how far you’ve come and continue to go I’m just sooooo extremely happy and excited for you!!! I aspire to be where you’re at one day. Thank you for unknowingly being my safe place. Lol. Literally my favorite person to watch.🫶🏼

Your suite is actually how I pictured it yet it fits you perfectly like a glove, I did my mom's hair color yesterday and I actually applied your hair coloring tips, and coloring hair is fun until you're get it all over your fingers but I can't wait for your suite to expand 🙃🙃🙃🙃💎💎💎🔥🔥🔥

Dark hair was the right move
Congrats on the new space! I completely agree about how long it takes to do hair. Mine always takes at least four hours for a full balayage if I were in and out of there in two hours, I would be worried.😅

Where I am 77 is not hot. It has been over a hundred degrees for weeks and weeks
@@Tsmoke1414 yeah, it’s been in the high 90s here and feeling well over 100 with the humidity. But the temperature outside vs inside is very different… 77 degrees inside a salon where you’ll be wearing a cape and having a blowdryer pointed at you is HOT. Not sure what there is to argue about that ? Lol

For hair colour lines do some colours not go as dark as other lines?. I used a level four and it didn’t go very dark in a medium brown is not very dark. It’s just brown This is the formula I used. I needed to add a neutral and a cool tone to balance out the warmth else it didn’t turn out. I used Loreal inoa colour line.

Thank you :) No. I'm pretty consistent, so I know how much product I use on average for each service, so anything over that, I charge for an "extra bowl." And I just did the math to determine how much everything costs, so no SalonScale needed lol
As extra privacy for your windows… there’s privacy films that places like Amazon sell that look like a big roll of plastic wrap that you just stick with water or Windex on windows

You should get a pretty sheer white curtain to put on your door that you can pull up so you can see peoples lower bodies, but not faces for vlogging!

I am allowed to, and I might in the future, but I kinda love the free advertising right now. Not everyone in the building does hair, so clients that are there waiting for other services can see me and my room and might become interested in booking an appointment with me. :)

Hi sam i have light brown highlights in the bottom on my hair. but I really want to do a redish purple for fall. I want the whole thing to be on one color .any suggestions?
