Voici un Ragtime qui a connu un très large succès à sa sortie en 1911. Il s'agit de "Alexander's ragtime band" de I.Berlin. Je le joue avec mon banjo ténor fabriqué par le luthier Bruno Torres.
Caroline, your arrangement of this tune is amazing. I've listened to a number of your videos, and I believe this one stands out. Do you ever transcribe any of your arrangements to tab? I'm sure your listeners would be interested in acquiring them if you did.
Thank you ! I actually started to transcribe my arrangements. I've only made 13 so far because it takes time. You can find them at the following link : www.sheetmusicplus.com/en/category/arrangeme/436/caroline-aubert/
@@carolineaubert1228 Before you replied, I discovered your published arrangements and purchased four: After You've Gone, Saint James Infirmary, Some of These Days, and Bill Bailey. I've already started Saint James Infirmary and I find it extremely well laid out and very accessible. After I bought the arrangements, I sent you an email to your bourbonjazz ... address telling you I was new to the tenor banjo and enjoyed your playing. I am learning a lot about putting together solo arrangements on this instrument, and technique from your videos. I am eager to continue playing the arrangements and I commend them to others who enjoy your work.
@@joephillips4082 Oh yes, I received your email this week and I was going to respond to it, I hadn’t made the link between the two! 😅 Glad to know that my scores and my videos can help you because it's not easy to find one that is suitable! Good learning, it’s a wonderfull instrument!!! 😊
very nice job,,,fun to watch your hands...great technique....i play 4 string banjo tuned guitar (I guess they call it Chicago)....in your opinion should I learn to play using your tuning....I guess I am being lazy but at 76 and playing guitar for 60 years, I hated the thought of relearning chords....I do like the sound of low C on your banjo...Thanks and I love your videos.
My profile is exactly like yours, Lsquared. I'm also coming to the tenor banjo after playing jazz and swing guitar for 60 years, except I dived in with tenor tuning. My progress is slow; some of the chords have big stretches in them. I love the sound of the tenor, some I plan to continue, but I'll admit the chords are a challenge.
Hello Caroline, I like your music and I am a big fan of the tenor banjo. I wrote you an email to ask you if I could feature some of your music in mone or two of my radio shows. Best regards Frank
fANTASTIC😍
Ah awesome, i love this tune, we used to sing it in school!!
In Australia, one has to wait until 2059 before this tune of 1911 enters the public domain. Good old Irving life to be 100 years old.
Lovely banjo player.
Merci de faire revivre cette partition!
Excellent!
Sounds great ma'am!
Nice!
Well done!
Top !

Lovely. Can anyone help with tuning please?

Is the goal to show off?
the goal is to introduce the tenor banjo
The goal is to do something you love and to share it with someone else. An intricate tune requires nimble fingers.
I hope she keeps "showing off". Great job!!!
Nice!
