Such an underrated/overhated reboot. I love the classics like any other Spyro fan, but this trilogy was beautiful and fun, and deserves a remake or a fourth installment for at least introducing us to Cynder.
Yes it deserves so much more appreciation than what it got. The legend is Spyro introduced me to Spyro and Cynder, and if I never played this games, I would be a very different person today. The legend of Spyro series is responsible for turning me into a scale, and I appreciate it greatly
As someone who grew up playing the original trilogy, I adore the LoS series!! I daresay it's my favorite Spyro series ever, with Skylanders following closely behind.

T-T I get that stupid "show hole" feeling whenever I hear the word Spyro, I played the living cap out of these games, the first one, was my first game, on my first console. I played it through 3 times, and am tempted to pull it out of my garage, dust it off, and boot it up again. amazing series, and a shame to see it used as a "mascot" for a game which only relation is the name of the universe. the only activision game I have ever liked was the first tony hawk underground (my second game ever)
spyro is dead. activision killed him. i want to hit their CEO for even thinking about publishing skylanders and making it another commercial kids game!
2022. I’m 27 years old and music still hits hard. I enjoy traveling back in time with these old video game ost. Let’s hang in there everyone. We doing great so far.
I grew up playing the Legend of Spyro Games. Even though I was so young a part of me knew that the games story was serious, dark, and somber... which made it stand out to me. It made me feel... sad. If only this trilogy could have somehow been expanded. If only we could have all seen... more. If only.
3 years later and I still stand by this. I really hope Toys for Bob actually does something with the series, it deserves an overhaul like the Crash Bandicoot series.

I don't even know why I live this song so much.... The tune.... Its just so beautiful, the words..... Without intending can reasonate with so many people, it's not just about the amazing spyro trilogy which is a legend all in itself, but it's about I think how even when we all feel broken, we somehow come together when playing this game, we watch spyros journey, it teaches how anyone can go from being, broken, feeling like nothing..... To being a hero, in the eyes of their peers and their community, I know this may sound cringey but honestly... This is how I feel about this song, that it teachers us all, children and teens, young and old two different things, one being the lesson I just said, and the other being that... In life,.... WE need to find our own paths, NO mythical God or anyone is going to do so for us, if we want something in life, whether it's to acheive a dream or to overcome a fear, We must do this ourselves, like in the game.... Sypro sets of on this journey, he never waited, he never awaited a mythical being to come and tell him what he had to do and how he should do it.... SPYRO WROTE HIS OWN STORY, he didn't Wait for someone to come and write it for him... SO WHY SHOULD WE? but hey, I'm just a college girl with an opinion, what do I know?
This song is so emotionally overpowering that if you put it after ANYTHING remotely sad, you will make people cry floods. Trust me, it's happened to me thousands of times.
just think about the last moment Spyro and Cynder had before they enterd 3 year sleep and Cynder's face and how many people (well dragons) they would have saved and how much pain spyro feels later (sobing)
Because TLOS is "bad" and so there's not people who aren't fans who actually love these tracks, it's sad and I wish it wasn't true but it unfortunately is.
Well, going to be honest. There has been ONLY 3 games, and 1 movie in the entire world that were able to make me cry. The Legend of Spyro trilogy, and the scene in Interstellar where Cooper meets his now aged daughter... I'm now playing through the Dawn on the Dragon on xbox, played through 4 levels, and im actually scared of the ending because I'm starting to recall the game from the last time I played it. (7 years ago.) That just means that a game was well made, because in the end it is pretty hard to crack the shell I have.
Undertale ending will pretty quaranteedly make you cry too, btw. And so will MGS 1 (not the ending though, lol). Also I recall crying to Moulin Rouge when I was about... 14 maybe?
I remembered when I beat this game for the first time when this song and credits came up I was almost in tears and it was a massive cliffhanger when it showed the epilogue. The memory's such good memory's and eternal night is my favourite out of the 3.

2024 and I still love this song and this trilogy. My whole childhood and personality was shaped by this purple dragon and I’m forever grateful. Thank you Spyro ❤
This song is almosg like a time capsule. I remember when it said 2/3 years ago. Then, 7/8 years ago, and now, it's fixing to say 12 years ago. About 8-9 years ago I had a conversation in this comments sections. And the song, oh this soul touching song!!!
Just beat this game for the first time. I think I'd have liked it more when I was younger, but despite its flaws, I had an extremely fun time with it. I was awestruck that it left on such a cliffhanger, and I simply had to listen to this song right after seeing the credits. I ordered the third game for PS3, and I'm excited to finish this trilogy.
It's crazy to think that I played this game over 8 years ago now. Back when everything was simple, free, and my biggest worry in life was the one level i could never get past. the soundtrack still sits with me and these games still mean so much to me. :')
Heya if your a huge spyro fan, do you want to help me in my animated film, its set 100 years after LOS but I need with it, if your interested do you want to join up and could you spread the word about it?
You know when you get those really strong memories that take you back to the time? This song takes me back to when I was playing it. I loved it so much. My PS2 broke, so I never got to finish it. But this song, it hurts. I feel like i'm going to cry. Now that they made Spyro into a gremlin toad makes this pain worse. #TLOS4eva
@@Blazerman126 You're damn right I am. And I'm not ashamed, bless this game and this universe and everyone involved in making it, has such a special place in my life still all these years later..

I love this trilogy so much. Seeing it remade has been my biggest gaming related wish for many years. I would also really like to see more games (or any media really) set in a similar world where dragons are the main characters.
Not only that, but dragons who can do more than simply breathe fire. Simply breathing fire is kind of banal at this point. Here they're not only breathing five elements (nine if you include Cynders), but they're creating tornados, wrecking balls, boulder armor, tail blades, shadow clouds that make enemies fight for you, fragmented poison grenades, and tons of other cool stuff. And the grabbing in Dawn of the Dragon is so fun! I don't care how iconic charging is, I will take grabbing over charging any day.
@@Aslimb6gd Agreed. Different elements besides just fire would certainly be nice, as well as clever ways of using those elements. Variety in physical combat moves would be great too. That upcoming game Glyde the Dragon looks pretty promising and i hope it can deliver.
I just beat the game for the first time yesterday (it took 6 years). And despite being my least favourite in the trilogy for how much it made me suffer (move over Dark Souls), it still holds up its beauty and gives you an immense sense of pride and accomplishment for finally getting to the end and hearing this coming from your TV.
This has been the only series so far that has gotten me to bawl my eyes out. I remember I played through it several times and still cried. I remember waiting for the next game to come out after I beat it for the first time and begging my parents to get the next one. Heh now we have spyro reignited trilogy. Man how things have changed since then.
I made a tribute to the Spyro series at the end of a Dawn of the dragon review I did, I used the Dawn of the dragon credits song, after listening to this song all the way through, I kind of regret it. I've never come this close to crying listening to a song.
Although the gameplay of these games are somewhat questionable, they did wonders with the story and soundtrack. That's why I respect it. Totally agree with your comment!
Jeez I forgot about this song. it's been years since I beat this game and I just got DotD to the ps3 so I can replay it. this song just makes me want to cry this series is so good. Yeah it's clichéd and not exactly the best but it does want it set out to do and told a great story
It's been years since I've played this series, and the music is still so beautiful and powerful it brings a tear to my eyes. I'm not crying, you're crying
I always come back.....but really, the truth is i never left....this game trilogy is something that never leaves you, it stays with you forever, and marks you in unexpected ways
This song spoke to me a lot when I heard it back then, I had a lot of despair and felt I lost my way and I felt like my inner voice was silent and I didn’t know what to do...my soul felt broken, shattered and I was being swallowed into an endless black hole with nothing in sight...luckily I broke out of this and I am now happy and I have found who I am! But this song reminds me of that dark place in my life. But now when I listen to it I’m reminded of Spyro and his story and leaving my pain in the past.
SxC Thank you :) Well I had to pinpoint why I hated myself and my life so much and once I found the reason I made the necessary changes to make myself happy. I still have my moments but I’m getting there and at least I’m not as bad as I once was. I wish you luck in becoming happy too

Eternal nights and dawn of the dragons end game credits will always remain memorable and some of my most favourite I'm happy toys for Bob remade the original spyro games, now I just have a hope for a remake of the legend series, this was a huge part of my childhood
It's been many years since I last heard this song or played the Legend of Spyro. Even after so long I feel a lot of weight hearing this. Shows how much this meant to me, how much it still means to me now. Memories are forever, and I will always love this trilogy.
Listening to this in 2020 and so much nostalgia rushing through. I played spyro 1 2 and 3 growing up was my first PS1 game and it was my fave game and when I heard a whole new series is being made I was hyped and I was not disappointed in this series like a few where the story, the music everything in this series was beautiful. shame after this Skylanders came around I do enjoy skylanders but it is NOT a spyro game. but this makes me want to hook up the good ol PS2 and play these again.
Anything that gives this trilogy attention again. Even a simple port would be a blessing. A remake with upscaled graphics would be even better so those OT purists can stop whining about how the models look. A remake with new magical abilities and side objectives to unravel more lore would make me scream "THANK YOU!" at the top of my lungs. As for a fourth instalment? Open world please! And I too would buy a new console if I couldn't get it otherwise for any/all of the above.
I'm so happy I grew up with this series and trilogy! When I first heard this song it made me cry, and now 10+ years later it hits so much harder! :( it not only makes me feel emotional but mkaes me feel very nostalgic at the same time! So many good memories! :(
this series broke me out of a massive depression back when it first came out and altho i can say fuck that pirate section i can still come back to this when im going through hard times
Special note for anyone still regularly listening to this: You are loved and special, your taste is unique, and if you ever need a hand in life, come back to this comment and reply to me.
Today I finished this game once again, so much nostalgia and pleasure felt throughout the adventure. We will never forget you spyro, now I'm gonna do the last one. This music is so amazing and so beautiful
The Legend of Spyro is amazing. It's got an ensemble cast of voice actors, good songs like this, a legendary storyline, action packed gameplay, and plenty of comic relief. It's like an animated film in video game form.
I was so shocked when these credits starting appearing, I was like "It can't end there!!!". I mean seriously, that was a pretty intense cliff-hanger ending for a video game.
since this awesome trilogy found an end in '08, I am craving for a comeback... first video game series that made me cry and still makes me cry. I cannot ignore those feelings. I am a grown man, btw... but I don't care. The feels are real.
my god! the last time i played TLOS:DOTD i was 14 (i'm 16 by the way) and the thought of spyro not showing up (decently, because skylanders ruined spyro) again just makes me cry a bit. god! the spyro games have truly made most of my childhood (yes childhood) , but as all great things go "what comes goes"
The Legend of Spyro games attracted me more than the other games. One of the reasons is because more of the protagonists are dragons. And the other reason is that the games had a bit more grit.
Knowing this song exists makes you feel like you’re in a secret club.

@@greflog It's been number 1 on my hype list ever since I discovered it.
@@Aslimb6gd Same here.
@@greflog I'm a huge fan of the legend of spyro trilogy. Nice profile pic BTW I love cynder's design in Dotd
The tears... I'm holding them back... I promise...
🥺😭💜🖤
This has been the only series so far that has gotten me to bawl my eyes out. I remember I played through it several times and still cried. I remember waiting for the next game to come out after I beat it for the first time and begging my parents to get the next one. Heh now we have spyro reignited trilogy. Man how things have changed since then.
I made a tribute to the Spyro series at the end of a Dawn of the dragon review I did, I used the Dawn of the dragon credits song, after listening to this song all the way through, I kind of regret it.
I've never come this close to crying listening to a song.
Really? You acted so calm.
Although the gameplay of these games are somewhat questionable, they did wonders with the story and soundtrack. That's why I respect it. Totally agree with your comment!
TGX Game Reviews poor little Canadian I share a love for Spyro too man
In fairness, I'd rather you end your Spyro tribute with something hopeful and positive over using a sad song.
2022: You're still here, after all this time??
Me: *Always*
Legend of Spyro cutscenes brought me here. Thank god for cutscenes 😢
Been going through a hard time lately and every time it happens always seem to find myself back to this song.
Bro what is hurting u ?
Jeez I forgot about this song. it's been years since I beat this game and I just got DotD to the ps3 so I can replay it. this song just makes me want to cry this series is so good. Yeah it's clichéd and not exactly the best but it does want it set out to do and told a great story
I don't know why people dislike the legend of spyro trilogy, it was awesome!!!!!
It was mostly original Spyro fans that hated this because it’s not the Spyro the know but I do agree this trilogy is BA
@@KJ-kv9gw true true
2021 here. I needed to hear this. I miss these times.
2021 buddy💜💜💜
When I listened to this for the first time, it made me break down in tears because the lyrics just... made me think of my blessed Grandma up in heaven
Brought tears to my eyes. Totally awesome.
On all honesty. The Legend of Spyro series had the best story of all Spyro games.
This and Guide Me Home make me cry almost every time I listen to it and then when I play the games and finish I do cry.
Still listening... It's been so long. Back again. These games are so special to me. This is legendary...
This song inspired me so much
If you are revisiting this your life is special and you percieve things differently than the others.
I dont know why but this song make's my cry
It's been years since I've played this series, and the music is still so beautiful and powerful it brings a tear to my eyes. I'm not crying, you're crying
Even in 2023 this is still a really good song and it would be cool if they made a remastered version of the legend of Spyro trilogy.
I always come back.....but really, the truth is i never left....this game trilogy is something that never leaves you, it stays with you forever, and marks you in unexpected ways
8 years and and I still come back to this song
I wish you luck in becoming happy too
SxC It certainly wasn’t easy but I made it :) Thank you so much, it means a lot to me for you to say that. I wish you the best in life too
I cannot get enough of this Song.
Spyro made me a gamer and a dragon lover back when I played the original games. I just remembered how awesome the TLOS saga was. It deserves a remake
Tears of joy flowing down...
This song is really great
Touching and give spirit at once
Oh holy land,come ancient spirit
take up my hand and guide me
pull me to shore, rivers are rising
look in this heart and find me
I've lost my way, your voice is silent
i need u here to remind me
show me now how to find my home
all i am surrender
let the water flow right through this broken soul
I'm by your side, ashes still burning
i proved my worth so tell my why
I've lost my way, your voice is silent
i need u here to remind me
show me now how to find my home
all I am surrender
Tell me that u can forgive
bring me peace that I may live
show me now how to find my home
all I am surrender
Oh sweet rest find me at my home
stay with me forever
Let the water flow right through this broken soul
now i can sing with it, thanks :)
MeGusta Actually I wrote the lyrics while I was listening to the song because I was bored!I am happy that I helped, though:)
Evi Granger now my sister is getting annoyd by it because i sing pretty loud xd
MeGusta Hahahaha!Don't bother,keep going on!:) I sing loud too and i've got a microphone:P
Evi Granger and you actually have it on? i wouldn't dare xd (even though when i'm home alone i sing as loudly as possible :D)
Eternal nights and dawn of the dragons end game credits will always remain memorable and some of my most favourite
I'm happy toys for Bob remade the original spyro games, now I just have a hope for a remake of the legend series, this was a huge part of my childhood
I'd love to believe this is Cynder singing.. Always have since 2006.
Never thought of it like that. Love this song even more 💙💙
It's been many years since I last heard this song or played the Legend of Spyro.
This song is so beautiful and so breath-taking.
I need more Spyro. Ahh god. Please, no more Skylanders. I just want spyro.
*Starts sobbing because of song*
I never played any Spyro games but I sure do like their soundtracks and I am glad I found this soundtrack
If there is a remake of this trilogy on PS5, I swear I buy this console just for that.
If only.
2021 , still the best Spyro series hands down !
Special note for anyone still regularly listening to this: You are loved and special, your taste is unique, and if you ever need a hand in life, come back to this comment and reply to me.
What a coincidence I'd find your comment General...
@@PaulTheDWGuy I have a whole bunch of them
Today I finished this game once again, so much nostalgia and pleasure felt throughout the adventure. We will never forget you spyro, now I'm gonna do the last one. This music is so amazing and so beautiful
What? I'm not crying. You're crying.
Yes, yes I am.
um no im not
idk how im not crying
Am I the only one here that’s not crying? But the song is still beautiful!
So happy that I grew up with this awesome series I'll never forget it :')
Such a sad song...
The Legend of Spyro is amazing. It's got an ensemble cast of voice actors, good songs like this, a legendary storyline, action packed gameplay, and plenty of comic relief. It's like an animated film in video game form.
I can't even sing this without it drawing tears...
the saddest ending in spyro but probably one of the most brilliant ones of all time this gave me tears
I was so shocked when these credits starting appearing, I was like "It can't end there!!!".
I mean seriously, that was a pretty intense cliff-hanger ending for a video game.
As soon as I heard this in the game, I imediately loved it.
2020 and i still remember when i saw the ending the first time .... so sad
Memories of the legend of Spyro the eternal night are flowing back when I listen to this song.
2018 and still thinking about spyro my childhood
What an amazing and unappreciated song, it's beauty will live on forever. Spyro will live on in the minds of those who remember him.
man I miss this trilogy
oh god, i'm being transported all the way back to my childhood just listening to this song
This is the most sadness and emotive m song i've ever heard. Always make me cry... :'(
since this awesome trilogy found an end in '08, I am craving for a comeback... first video game series that made me cry and still makes me cry.
Rui Santos ikr bro/sis
Even in the worst of the things can be a little glimmer of hope.
The Legend of Spyro games attracted me more than the other games. One of the reasons is because more of the protagonists are dragons. And the other reason is that the games had a bit more grit.
