watching your annual gorge trip really made me miss home but finishing up my tour in Korea and heading home next week. Ill be there just in time for the snow and winter hanging season. Thanks Sean from a fellow hanger across the world

UPDATE IN ONE LOCATION ... Patches and decals available.
Pricing is $5 per patch, $5 per 3" decal, $3.50 per 1.5" decal.
Payment is via PayPal to my account under this email ..... ralloh@triad.rr.com
Add 2% of total cost, for PayPal fees and $.50 for shipping up to 3 patches and three decals per envelope. If you order more than that email me at that address for shipping method and cost.
Provide me with a mailing address and name to ship them to. Immediately after the funds hits PayPal, I'll have them on their way to you in the next available post date. That day if possible.
Patches are limited and once they're gone ... might be awhile before I have any more made. So they'll definitely be a collector item.

I recently acquired my own pair of man capris...highly recommended. And if you talk about them all the time to your fellow hikers...they eventually begin to see you differently. Methinks they be jealous!

Ever hiked the North Country Trail? I think that runs through northern Minnesota. I live pretty close to the middle of it in southern Michigan.
I have done sections of it in WI. I have some videos on it.

Quick question: according to the info I read, backpacking in the gorge is limited to 3 days and 2 nights. How were you able to spend more time than that in the gorge?
No permit needed after Oct. 31 so….we take that as come catch us if you can. We have NEVER seen an Official in the Gorge…only at the top on the road in a truck. We just went for it and decided too play dumb if caught. Planned on camping outside the wilderness boundary a night but did not work out that way.
How do you like those Salomon boots? Been thinking about getting a pair. Hoping to hit the gorge for a week early spring, and my Danner boots are wore out. Been thinking about those GTX 4D real hard.
I love them. Even wore them in camp after walking all day. Great foot support and my feet never hurt. I recommend them.

I brought a pumpkin and a cool plastic skull. The camera I own did not pick up any of the fireside ghost stories I told. But it was an excellent time.
So how far in do you have to go to drop your caches? Is there road access fairly close to them?
A couple of hundred yards. Yes, we were fairly close to the roads. Made it easy to cache the night we got up there.
