Thanks. For me scaling to fit a drawing sheet and printing better than stupidly faint, is and utter frustration .

You're welcome! I totally get the frustration-scaling and printing can be tricky. If you need tips or have specific questions, let me know, and I'll try to help

@librecadfree Since then, after hours of trial and error, I have the Current Drawing sheet size set to A3 landscape, with a predrawn A3 template waiting. Can't printing the drawing direct, it will only do portrait, so far. Current Drawing scale is 1:10 or 10:100
Print Preview the drawing and Fit to Paper, check the resulting scale. Usually this is not a scalable scale so I reset it to closest match that still fits the paper, bearing in mind the right-hand Title block. Ok then Fix the Scale and return to drawing.
Then, I import the drawing frame A3 template as a BLOCK on the Origin. Then select only the imported block and scale it up times (to suit the result from fit to page, 1:20, 1:25 ?) . Next I select only the drawing objects and Move this into the imported frame. Print Preview this, set to b&w, set Lines to Scale OFF, save and Export to pdf if sending.
But if a faff tbh but it gives me acceptable results. Except I now need to properly get hold of optimum layer line sizes, and fonts are horrible 😊
