    There’re various types of laksa in Malaysia:
    Asam Laksa
    Laksa Sarawak
    Laksa Johore
    Laksam
    Laksa Pahang
    Laksa Kedah
    Laksa Asam
    Etc.. you should try!

      But the most tasty laksa is the sarawak laksa , trust me I've tried all of them , it is so far one of the best among all others , but to find the best , it's that hard .

    The level of goodness is approved by late Anthony Bourdain. Everytime No Reservation land at Sarawak, he had two bowls of laksa.

    Yo guys, you have just covered two states in Malaysia. You have another 11 states to cover in Malaysia. By the looks of it, you will need to be in Malaysia till November next year 😀. Lots of great food all over Malaysia. In fact, Malaysia has been rated as the best food country in Asia. You cant get better than this country. Enjoy!

    Hi The Other Side !! WOOt WOOT ! I guess time really flies. Can't believe you guys are in Sarawak already. Laksa & kolo mee are actually the signature dishes of Sarawak. Literally, even Malaysians from outside Sarawak will come here to just to eat those 2 dishes, great you guys love this dishes. The original layer cake known as cake lapis also available only in Sarawak. It's exciting to see you guys enjoying dining authentic food here. Stay cool & happy safe travelling always guys 💜😅

    Guys your make me drool because I'm a Sarawakian. I miss my homeland. Sarawakian food is my favorite dish although it looks like normal. I usually eat two bowls of kolok mee, laksa, fried noodles, noodle soup. I have to go back in mid June huhuhu .....

      Kolok Mee is our favorite omg SOOOO GOOD! So glad we could show your heart land off here on TH-cam. Malaysia, especially sarawak has some of the best food we have ever tasted!

    Padungan kolo noodles is one of the best! Glad you guys enjoyed it. There are more to see and good food to eat though but you need to stay longer in Kuching.

    Anthony Bourdain loved Sarawak Laksa so much he called it Breakfast of the Gods. He liked it so much he came twice to Sarawak to eat it. Each time he came down, he took two bowls. He even incorporated Sarawak Laksa in his food outlet in New York.

    Go to sibu and try their kampua noodle and kompia buns, Go Miri and go to Rumah Asap and try the stall no.8 BBQ pork and their traditional rice wrap in leaf and go to Lawas try their Fried Noodle (mee goreng kering and mee goreng basah).While you there go to their beautiful hotspring (Merarap Hotspring and have your local delicacies to your heart content there)

    Pisang tandok.. Pisang is banana n tanduk is horns.. That place u buy the banana fritter is the best in kch and the best laksa is somewhere at canpanter streets..enjoy your holiday n be safe always.. 😊

    Hi, I am from Sarawak but residing in California now. Red color for kolok mee is supposed to be d broth dripping doen from d roasted pork that they sliced to garnish over the noodle if they are the original thingy. There is lot of stall that juz use coloring if they don do roasted pork

    I envy you guys....yes, Sarawak Laksa is a must....fun fact: The late Anthony Bourdain, loved it.....you will find this laksa everywhere in Kuching....another thing you must try is Kolo Mee....its another version of Wanton Noodle....a must as well....hope you guys enjoy it

    Peng stands for cold or iced

      C is for evaporated milk, with added sugar
      Nai.. for sweetened condensed milk
      O... plain, with sugar
      kosong... without sugar
      .. confused?? 🤔 haha

      Peng = Iced. Kopi Peng = Iced Coffee. In Sabah it is pronounced as Ping.

      C is evaporated milk because there used to be a very famous brand of evaporated milk with a Carnation Flower on the can back in the 1950s or earlier, so that's where your "C" comes from.

    I'm really glad that you guys went to try out the Kolo Mee at Jalan Sekama. It was one of my favourite foods in Sarawak! Seriously, it is the best one I ever had in Kuching ❤️

      @@zainizain4687 the one he went to is "Choon Hui Cafe" at Jalan Ban Hock (A small and only coffee shop by the roadside next to Grand Continental Hotel). Open only in the morning and close in the Afternoon.

    Where are you guys off to next? Sarawak is the biggest state in Malaysia and theres plenty to see....the world's largest cave chamber is at Mulu National Park, Sarawak Cultural Village is another place you can go to....its about 30 mins drive from the city, and enjoy the food, something you won't go wrong with when you are in Malaysia, its a food paradise

    Nice Vlog. If you are still in Kuching, it is also worth checking out other eateries here offering other versions of laksa and kolo mee; then you can decide which one you prefer. Mui Chin Cafe (laksa), Car City kolo mee (v tasty but lots of lard used in the process), Nyan Shin Cafeteria, off Carpenter St (ask for the original dry version of their Hakka kolo mee; their noodles are handmade). The key thing with good food in Kuching is you need to visit these places v early ( 7-7.30AM) and know which day they are closed. Enjoy your stay.

    Woah mytown area! Laksa sarawak is unique to Sarawak, we have variety of laksa in Malaysia and they are unique to their each countries. If you like laksa, you should tried laksa penang, laksa kelantan, laksa johor.

    I dont know if im late but you should try Mee Kolok Sapi at the legendary Sepinang Sari cafe. Come at least 7am in the morning because it's always full unless u can wait in line. A lot of west Malaysians come here for Laksa Sarawak and Mee Kolok.

      @@ian.and.ana. Philippines is a good choice too because virtually all peoples are celebrating. KL is not bad either, or maybe Singapore but more expensive.
      You have to decide early. If not accomodation will be difficult, it's super peak time.

    Teh c peng means mixed ice tea consist of local palm sugar called gulapong,tea and evaporated milk.meanwhile the laksa broth itself is made from mixture of spices such as star anise,cardamom and many more and turn into paste then the cook it with coconut milk.I suggest you to try rojak kucei as well as its very famous in kuching and local shaved ice at swee kang ais kacang in satok area and try their rojak sotong! #ProudSarawakianHere
