Soooo the rhinestones ended up being really addicting from last week ( • Craft a Mixed Media Wr... ), and they crept into this week’s tut, too 🙈
…along with a printable watercolor texture plus toner-adhering foil…all at home! I meannnn if you’re gonna go all in, you’ve gotta go all in, right?! 🙃

Hi Teela. What a fun tutorial! Is it possible to print the watercolor texture also on a laser printer or will it not look right?

I believe you run the risk of the foil adhering to the watercolor texture as well. The foil will transfer to any toner color, to my understanding.

Toner is essentially plastic burned onto the paper which is why you get that shiny look - the watercolor texture wouldn't look like a real watercolor texture anymore if it was printed on a laser because of that, as well as what @phianett mentioned, so that's why it was printed separately on an inkjet 👍

Jut curious - why use a TIFF format for printing? What's the advantage of that over PNG or JPG?

You can def use png or jpg! Tiffs have more file data associated with them, so less chance of any details being degraded

Can you help me with the type of paper you are using? I have the same printer but it doesn’t like the thick cardstock I normally print cards on.

Since I print the watercolor texture using an inkjet, I get the best results/saturation using matte photo paper. This is the one I used for this vid: amzn.to/4d1JM26

Why won't the gold work with an ink jet printer??

It adheres to toner, which is made up of plastics and sits on top of paper vs. toner which is liquid and soaks into it 👍
