for any Americans in the comments, 40 celsius is 104 fahrenheit, for reference, average room temperature is 68 fahrenheit (around 20 celsius), hence why it's referred to as being hot, because it is very hot, and indeed, most people would not want to be in the apartment in this game, let alone take a warm bath in a home at that temperature

I want to say maybe Chillas is just bringing awareness to the stalker culture that is very prevalent in Japan. The rest is usual horror game nonsense where the characters lack any common sense because if they did have common sense the game would be over in 5 minutes.
