Actually...
On TH-cam there's already been a Video where someone just sits in the Chair, and doesn't move for the better part of an Hour.
Then, the Mayor showed up, with some unique dialogue... _and then Asked for help finding the Mayoral Mustard!_
Man some of these comments are really negative about this game- as if it’s the game developers fault that England isn’t a perfect country. Let’s just enjoy the silly game people
I doubt half the people making those comments are even from the UK.
Never seen a Vtuber as cute as this before.
My wife could learn a thing or two.
Are ye Reggie?
is your wife vtuber?
Wondered if/when chat was gonna bully Limes into this. Aggressive amounts of briddish.
0:43 - Little did Laimu know...
_...she had enabled _*_Yorkshire mode!_*
i'm from the real life Barnsworth, the town of Barnsley
Was jt closed due to smacks bum bum?
What's up with Reggie's wife?
I assumed canonically Barnsworth was next to Barnsley because the bus goes through Barnsley (archival footage) before arriving in Barnsworth
I'm just down t'road from yer, near 'ull.
She could learn a think or two@@floatingdisembodiedhead8975
I feel the need to say this. I had to be dead silent during the whole of this stream, because I used to live in Barnsley. Seeing this joke and sensor of humour. They old video of it. The busses, everyone. It hurt. Physically. Emotionally. Spiritually. To see the fucking menus written IN TYKE (which is the dialect of Barnsley, if you've played Worms, you'll know Tyke "Blood and stomach pills") caused me the kind of harm only directly, pin-point torture can do. XD
i dont know why limes getting excited at the fridge stoat was so cute, but it was
Well, she is related
Town's vole
"Gloria Whole" wheat
@@Joeggurnaut546 whaheeeyyyy
This is just how I remember England when I visited. Right down to the singing rats.
Casual reminder she's British even though she doesn't sound like it due to playing MMO's with a bunch of Americans. She picked up the accent from friends and it stuck.
She slips back to the English accent a lot, you can hear it in various streams, but in this one all the time , so I don’t think the American accent’s an entirely unconscious thing.
I still can’t get over how good her model is
If you waited for 15 minutes he would have appeared but thats 15 minutes in real time
thaats really funny xD
That was the first thing I tested.
"Man assaults town, helps Citizens."
Lime really be saying "These hands are rated E&E for Everyone & Everything". 😂😂😂
Something about unabashed British silliness is so cozily delightful. Very much like hilarious Japanese commercials and jokes can be, imo 😋
You live on an island (or collection of islands) for long enough and strange things begin to happen to your brain…
@@MK-rx7kp Lifelong Hawaiian here, can confirm (although all our local advertising is hilariously tragic and amateur; seriously, every local commercial feels like a middle school presentation, it's that cringe)
Lore accurate UK
I have no idea why or where he got them, but my dad gave me a bunch of 70s-80s Whizzer & Chips books as a kid, and this game gives me pretty much exactly the same vibes as those comics. The memories are flooding back like xmas pud and bangers & mash.
The worst part about this game is seeing these real life videos of streets recorded a good 50 odd years ago and seeing that pretty much nothing has changed. A lot of those houses are still there, the architecture is still effectively the same and is more often than not falling apart because of that
Limes won't grasp the state of things up here since the country dumps all its capital into London. There's been developments since the tail-end of the last election like more housing and modernisation of city centres, but our councils are still facing debt.
I don't like this game. The comedies that inspired it are over 40 years old at this point, so much so I've heard all of its jokes once already. There hasn't been a cultural revolution in England for decades, and there won't be until the labour market finds its footing.
Streets stink of weed and drunk men stumble over cracked pavement fake cameras aren't watching over, that's a simplification of what it's like here.
You see the menu screens and the mining structures that are on show? They're still there, but all rusted and cracked. That would've been a great metaphor for the current state of the north if the devs wanted to be complete killjoys.
Tl;dr - scroll up u lazy sod
The game celebrates a country that doesn't exist.
im pretty sure the prices at the market doesnt exist anymore
k
Yea apart of our culture
didn't think I'd ever hear Matt Berry of all people do voice work for this.
Clem Fandango sourced this one
40:08 Cable
omg your tuuduuduu singing voice on the end was so clean and on point. loved to hear it
The live action cutscenes remind me of Monty Python in the best possible way
This is reminding me a lot of Hector, a trilogy of point'n'click games in a similar setting with similar humor. If Limes hasn't played them, she definitely should
Exactly, nice to see someone remembers those games too
45:03
Yeah, you can tell she hangs out with Vinny.
"That vtuber is rather scary mate, almost spat out my tea"- me if i was brittish or australian
watching people play this game never gets old 😂
Bloody brilliant
I ended up buying this game, even though the jokes don't really hit well a second time - I figure it's not really fair to the devs if everybody experiences the game through Twitch streamers and doesn't actually buy it themselves.
It's quite surprising how linear the game is, it really feels chaotic the first time.
Loved every minute of this game. So happy that streamers are spreading the goodness ^^
Btw the rat song is "On Ilkla Moor Baht'at" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/On_Ilkla_Moor_Baht_%27at My primary school headmaster used to sing it at assemblies from time to time.
Is it the same song playing on the radio inside the chimney-victim guy's room? It kinda sounded similar to me.
@@floatingdisembodiedhead8975 sure is
Happy to see more Vtubers playing this gem of the norf
Laimu quietly playing game, taking it in, cutest avatar there is bouncing about as she’s enjoying it, then breaking into laughter at the….not subtle jokes
The devs really should have put a CW in this game for depressing live action footage of England.
Would you believe that a British game is becoming more popular than a French or Japanese game
Fun fact! At the beginning of the game, if you sit in the mayor's waiting room for like 2 hours, you will eventually be able to see the mayor, skipping the game entirely lol
It's more like 15 minutes but it's still hilarious
13:28 "The blurds!" THE CUTENESS! *squee!*
this appears to be a game made for the sole purpose of making Lime happy so she dances. And that is a happy day indeed.
20:47 A bit of a continuity error there. The left arm they pulled is now the arm he was stuck with.
Damn, you're right, I didn't even notice that!
@@lloydmorganmoore7810 I just noticed the well is also textured wrong. He is holding up the bottom of the hole not the top one.
2:02 AHE KNEW IT THA WEE BIRDS NAE FRA TARN
Damn, no one slaps the locksmith til he pukes.
Edit: Never mind.
Froot should play this as well!
This game really depends on where there from in England if stuff lands or not
Dialect is heavily regional, Like I bet no one from down south would understand what Marra means
@@mk_gamíng0609 This game is great even if you don't understand the references. I'm canadian and I love this game lol Watched Ray's playthrough of this, and i'm gonna watch Limes if Froot plays it, i'll definitely watch that.
@@mk_gamíng0609it's like the Japanese who have their own humour that us westerners don't understand
@@mk_gamíng0609I feel like you're gonna get all of the jokes no matter where in the UK you're from. Unless you live in a box you're going to have been exposed to regional dialects
@@skootergirl22Like how people from the (I think) Kansai region are considered to be the Japanese equivalent of hillbillies
I'm looking forward to the brexit geezer Lime arc
Didnt think i see Lines play this game so soon
Finally I get to see Limes hometown
Lime is just a good house wife. :3
❤ makes me so happy 😂❤
Nary a thruppance summat
Fun fact: diaphragmatic breathing (breathing from the stomach area) is better than “breathing from the chest”
I'd say uniquely British.
5:08 I am not even from England why the hell is this nostalgic?
Edit : I’m noticing
37:44
Granny Lime? Is that you?
It is LIME in Britain Land oh no!
Maaaan, why does everyone miss the first time you slap the food out of the guys hand?
Okay. Limes is the second English person I've watched play this game, and both said "Oh no, not a pub." when they got to the pub. I though you people liked pubs?
I saw you have some kinda stroke in Vinny's chat. XD
I feel like I’m watching inter-dimensional cable from Rick and Morty, not that that’s a bad thing
i know another game that kinda have this art style
8:41 It's the game ???
Bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang
It almost makes u think british are real, but alas
I did not know there was a dialect version and just regular english. I kind of want to hear that one. sadly I cant find any
I think the audio is the same between English and Dialect - the difference is just whether or not the _subtitles_ are translated into (non-Dialect) English.
It changes the subtitles, not the dialogue.
In the Dialect version of the subtitles, it’ll completely accurately transcribe everything, slang & all, whereas the English version “translates” some of it to more mainstream English.
So, for instance, in the Dialect subtitles, when they say “anorl” it’ll subtitle it as anorl, but in the English version, it’s translated as “as well”, Dialect version is written as “that middle isle is a right state”, English version as “that middle isle is a real mess”
Bri'ish!?
MRICA
Londoners should be banned from playing Northern treasures, get off with you
One of my parents is northern and the other a southerner, does that mean I can only play half the game?
@@ScrungoJones yes
I was born in Cambridge UK
Get over yourself ya pillock
As a midlander, how exactly do I fare?
I just think this game is mocking us working class people.
Yeah there's a few odd ones, but we're the heart and soul of the nation
This is a celebration of northern Britannica, I think you're just upset and looking for a thing to take an issue with
