Well done bud on a brilliant and thorough review. I have to say as a music geezer i would venture for the Q8 rather than the Q8n. It is the TRS that wins it for me. I have synths that I can put straight into the TRS connections to get a direct sound that does not have to go through an audio interface and with two channel capability can record say a moog in L/R channel scenario direct. With audio interface input available too, from L/R channels via TRS as well as XLR I think the best bet is for the Q8. I do note that from a visual perspective the Q8n wins it but, the Q8 does actually look more vibrant and 'real' if the footage is outdoors (ref first appraisal). One thing that could highlight your review even more is for a tone generator (eg synth) to go straight into both cameras with settings at standard EQ and Gain for people to evaluate direct input. Although you have used the external mic as reference to xlr inputs on the zoom it is still 'open mic' format that gives everything in the room. Nonetheless a good appraisal. Taking the sound direct from a synth via xlr on both cameras (TRS line out from synth to XLR line in on cameras) with settings of both set as standard would give further indications but on the whole. Well done blue. You do get reviews and such that are meaningless for example, a stomp box in open mic format from guitar to recording and many are unsure of authenticity of both musician and sound quality but here, bud...............well done. I just got a q8n-4k and the record button is spongy. Without looking at the screen I can't tell if it has been pressed or not. Do you know if it is supposed to make a "click" when pressed like the other buttons on the device?

Thanks a lot for this. It is exactly what I needed. Just a question, do you think that a HDMI external card 4K could make the video even better if connected to the pc and the Q8N 4k? 👍🏻

Using an HDMI capture card will always give you better streaming quality. But I don't think the Q8N is going to be that big of a jump in quality if you use an HDMI capture card, since the Q8N isn't that great to begin with. The recent iPhones and Android phones have better video quality than the Q8N.
