I am 61 years old and in my lifetime I have been banned from Bible study five times in three different religions. As a child of 5 yrs until I was ten yrs I had noticed things in the Bible that made no sense to me and when pushed for an explanation on certain subjects the clergy could not explain in a way I could understand without the flaws of their New explanations becoming known to me leading to more questions not resolved! Three different religions made me feel like I was mentally challenged in some way that I could not understand the Bible or their interpretation of it like everyone else did. One Church broke my grandmother's heart because I was kicked out of Bible study for the last time! I felt bad for my grandmother but I stood my ground and at a very young age I realized the reason I couldn't go to church there was because I asked the right questions and that they were the ones that were hiding something or was lying to me and it scared me terribly. It is so rewarding to see this stuff (before I die lol) come out to the public and anyone who was ever treated the way I was and thought they were no good or was not Church Worthy and was going to Hell because of it. When religion is talked about in a group of people I am around I tell them to read the beginning of the Bible not Genesis but the pages before that! It explains where the Bible was made and was written, where it was printed. Also it tells of how many scholars and Nobel prize winners ect.(smarter people🤷🏻♀️) that were chosen by the highest religious people?🤷🏻♀️ to interpret the different languages into a universal written form and then of course revised using the same method later. I was taught the same thing as a Jehovahs Witness in the ministerial school. They get a bad rap but they really focus on ancient translations and meanings. I left the Hall, but it helped build a great foundation for my passion in ancient beliefs, myths, holy books, cultures etc. Most christians just listen to their priest or pastor and never do their own research. It's a shame.
@David I spent years in their ministerial school and was never taught that Michael is Yeshua. Yeshua is the name of Jesus, just in a different language. The Witnesses are also nothing like the mormons lol. The big differences that separate witnesses fron other denominations are; They believe Jesus was and is not god. He is a separate entity altogether, although he was gods first creation and sat on the right of his throne until he eventually took the throne. They also believe hell is not a physical place, but using the older translations where you find the word "gehenna" (which is where the idea of hellfire comes from) alongside a verse that specifically says hell is the common grave, they believe the ones sent to "hell" just dont get to experience the afterlife - because a god of love couldn't torture and burn his children as other denominations say. And we would use multiple bibles, with biblical encyclopedias and books for Hebrew and Aramaic translations as well. I'm not sure how they change/add/remove words. From what I've seen, many other denominations are far more guilty of that. There are good people in all of them, but I noticed some key differences is all.

As a life long secularist and historian, I've always intuited there was something off about the modern bible but couldn't put my finger on it and so simply rejected it to study philosophy instead - until I first heard about this grammatical anomaly regarding God versus gods almost 5 decades ago. I'm a secularist too and fiercely against any religion because I consider them an infinite source of evil, however I do not condone lying even if the purpose is to attack religious beliefs. I value honesty and integrity before anything else. When Biglino talks about the grammatical "anomaly" of elohim (God/gods) he lies deliberately. It's not just an error: even a beginner in biblical Hebrew knows that elohim is in most cases a singular because it's an intensive plural, i.e. a plural form used for emphasis but with a singular meaning. There are many examples of intensive plural throughout the Bible, and not just in connection with God but also with humans and even things and animals.

Everyone knows about the intensive plural, also called "pluralis excellentiae" or abstract plural. The Israeli person you mentioned did not lie: the "im" suffix is plural in most cases, but not always. Do you know the Hebrew word for "face"? It's "panim" (פָנִים). "Water" is "mayim" (מַיִם), "sky" is shamayim (שָׁמַיִם), "Egypt" is Mitsrayim (מִצְרַיִם), "Jerusalem" is Yerushalaim (יְרוּשָׁלַם), "life" is hayim (חַיִּים), "blindness" is sanverim (סַנְוֵרים). For example when God disapproved of Cain's offer, Genesis 4:5 says "So Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell" but the Hebrew text literally says that "his faces [panim] fell". Was Cain a monster with more than one face? Of course not, that's why the plural Hebrew word "panim"/"faces" must be translated as singular, "face". In Isaiah 29:22 we read that "Jacob will not be ashamed anymore. His face will not grow pale", but the original Hebrew text says "His faces will not grow pale" because it uses the plural word "panim"/"faces" as in the previous example. Every one of them, no exception, says that "elohim" means "god". Among those dictionaries there are even a couple that were compiled by Hebrew speakers, one was published by the Haifa University in Israel in collaboration with researchers and professors at the Jerusalem University. Hasn't Biglino read the dictionaries he quotes? Of course he has, but he conveniently lies about this fundamental word. And it's not just the dictionaries: all the academics that Biglino himself considers the best in the world say the same thing, for example Biglino's favorite which is prof. G. Garbini who taught at La Sapienza University in Rome, or prof. Emanuel Tov from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. All of that has nothing to do with religion and dogmas because we all call "god" Zeus, Apollo, Marduk, Ra, Anubis, etc. Another lie is when he says that elohim has a plural meaning that is hidden by common translations and rendered as a singular. Ask any first-semester student of ancient Hebrew and they'll laugh at this absurdity. That Introduction also refers the reader to a list at the end of the volume where all those words are grouped together and translated. And how is "elohim" translated? As "god". The most incredible aspect of such lie is that the same Introduction and list also appear in the volumes which include Biglino's translations. It's also a lie that Biglino worked for the Vatican: he never did. He was briefly contracted by a catholic publisher which is not owned or managed by the Vatican. It's also a lie that those translations were "Vatican-approved", they weren't. San Paolo's interlinears are merely didactic tools for learners of Hebrew as clearly stated in the Introduction, they are not real translations but just rough drafts for educational purposes. As such they are of no concern to the Vatican which never approves, rejects, or even merely acknowledges this kind of didactic work. To be thorough, those volumes also included an actual translation which was printed on the facing page of the interlinear: it's called "Nuovissima versione dai testi originali" ("Newest version from the original texts") and was originally published in the 1970s. It was often reprinted since then but Biglino had nothing to do with it (he only studied Hebrew for a short time when he was already fifty years old). When Biglino shows those volumes he carefully avoids to read it otherwise his deception would be obvious. Another colossal lie concerns the beginning of Genesis: those verses are about the creation of the world, of the sky, the sun, the stars,etc. by god/elohim, and that's the literal, undeniable meaning. Dr. Michael Heiser was perhaps one of of the most prolific scholars on the word 'elohim' and its different uses in the Old Testament. His conclusions are important to understand the ancient texts. First of all, 'elohim' is not a name, but instead a descriptor, or a title. Second of all, depending on the context of the sentence, 'elohim' can be used in a singular or a plural sense. Psalm 82 is perhaps the clearest example. The psalm refers to Yahweh’s administration as a council. The first verse reads: “God (elohim) stands in the divine assembly; he administers judgment in the midst of the gods (elohim).” In this verse, it's clear that the first part of the sentence is a singular God (God stands), and the second is a plural form (in the midst of a group of gods, or other divine beings). The meaning of the verse is inescapable: the singular elohim of Israel presides over an assembly of elohim. The biblical writers refer to a half-dozen different entities with the word elohim. By any religious accounting, the attributes of those entities are not equal. Yahweh, the God of Israel (thousands of times-e.g., Gen. 2:4-5; Deut. 4:35) The members of Yahweh’s council (Psa. 82:1, 6) Gods and goddesses of other nations (Judg. 11:24; 1 Kgs. 11:33) Demons (Hebrew: shedim-Deut. 32:17) The deceased Samuel (1 Sam. 28:13) Angels or the Angel of Yahweh (Gen. 35:7) The usage of the term elohim by biblical writers tells us very clearly that the term is not about a set of attributes. There is no basis for concluding that the biblical writers would have viewed Yahweh as no better than another elohim. A biblical writer would not have presumed that Yahweh could be defeated on any given day by another elohim, or that another elohim (why not any of them?) had the same set of attributes. That is polytheistic thinking. It is not the biblical picture. The Hebrew authors of the Old Testament clearly knew that there was one God, Yahweh, who possesses superior attributes with respect to all elohim. But God’s attributes aren’t what makes him an elohim, since inferior beings are members of that same group. I have had the privilege of attending Bible Seminary in Philadelphia and then later got my master's degree in Biblical Psychology. I had the privilege of having Dr. Charles Ryrie as my teacher. Having said all this, I am stunned by the knowledge of Dr. Paul. Through all my years I have always had something in the back of my ears regarding the truth behind everything. PAUL, thank you for your work, you have truly enriched my days.

Hubby and I have noted all this 20yrs ago reading Torah/Tanakh....we took a deep drive and never looked back since....we are still reading and learning and knowing a few languages and knowing Hebrew also helps a lot.
I feel a real kinship to Paul Wallis.......I read & reread the Bible for many years due to my Christian upbringing & latterly in my deep personal search for The Truth. When, unfulfilled in my religious faith, I forced myself to remove my religious blinkers , my eyes were opened to a whole new picture of the Bible. We don't have the real Bible anyway. What we have are copies of copies of copies x 100, which have been redacted and edited hundreds of times! Anyone who thinks they have the "word of God" is kidding themselves! They are the words of unscrupulous men who just wanted to dominate and control others.
Elohim can refer to a human in terms of human judges and leaders, that's what Psalm 82 meant about that God is judging among those Israelite priests-leaders that behave wickedly to the common people... So we have to read the text from its contexts.

A burning question that I have is what happened to Gilgamesh’s corpse? Does anyone remember it was published in National Geographic that German archaeologists found Gilgamesh’s tomb, and a very large casket that was sealed, and which they had not opened yet. 3 days later the US invaded Iraq, and a Ranger’s unit was sent in to bring the Archaeologists out. There’s been not a peep about the tomb since then.

I was also told that of the 7 bodies found in the tomb, 3 had 'naturally elongated' skulls, similar to the Jebel Irhoud skull, Sumerian Queen Punabi, and others found across the planet. As far as one of them being 10 feet tall, I think they would have mentioned that, but they didn't.

I suggest that you should also refer one of the oldest Bible translations in Geez (Ethiopia's old/dead language) to enrich your research works. For example, according to our Bible, in Ethiopian we say Elohe instead of Elohim. Hope you know that the best translation ever found about the book of Enoch is in that of Geez language. By the way Geez is the southern Semetic language with one of the oldest alphabets and different number systems that is still used in Ethiopia.

People need to awake up and keep their minds Open.When I witnessed the orbs in my back yard 30 years Ago I woke my husband saw them too but I won't go into it.I have searched since to try to understand they was three foot from us.
Ive seen orbs at my forest tree line. I was 150 feet away, it was about thirty feet off the ground and it went back and forth twice and on its second return it vanished. Ive seen orbs in the same area three times since i bought and moved to my off grid property in northern idaho area. Ive been her since 2019. I have seen things i wont go into detail. Excellent video Paul. Circumstances surrounding my Nans' death when age 3(?) meant that I took Sunday School very seriously as a child. After my father died when I was 9 I was asking questions re: (G)od. I began to see flaws in the teachings and Hypocrisy within the religious community. 14yo I was outta there! But the Bible remains a collection of historically significant documents that MUST be translated without any slant to uncover what has been hidden. The question of God v gods is also historically significant. The title page of every bible should read "Beware, any who proceed, for here be truths concealed!" It's pretty clear that you already find the Trinity in the old Testament. And the ancients used "Sons of God", (bene ha'elohim) not Angel's (Messenger). Today what we see as Aliens are mostly Fallen Angel's with their deceiving messages (New Age Doctrines, aka repeat of gnostic teachings).

It's entirely possible that Elohim and elohim are used in different contexts within the Holy Bible, and this is particularly true considering there isn't one single language from which it is written (greek, hebrew, and aramaic). Sure, they're the same word but clearly have different meanings. For example, indians could refer to indigenous people from India or indigenous people from the Americas, AND it could also be a sports team as in Indians.
Correct. Elohim based on context can mean little g gods as in watchers (aka angels) or Big G God as in YHWH. Yahweh means I am (the) I am. I have suggested books if interested...2 are by Dr. Doug Petrovich & Dr. Doug Woodward. I also recommend bools by Derek Gilbert & Zev Porat who is a Messianic Rabbi (Israelite in Israel).

This revelation is spreading and as a firm believer it has only strengthened my faith. I first came across this through Dr Heiser. I have been reading more messianic versions such as the Rose Tov Bible and the complete Jewish Bible by Stern because I was getting frustrated and dissatisfied with mistranslation of scripture. Whether one believes or not it still challenges the origins of man, the universe and ultimately points to the supernatural. I respect very much the views research of correct translation as I’m a translator myself, however I would argue that YHWH or I AM is the supreme Elohim, which would explain the fallen Elohim and the conflict with Lucifer, created by YHWH or I AM ( Ezekiel 28 from v11-19) . There are so many layers in meaning reading in the original Hebrew, I personally believe it’s a deliberate attempt to get us humans thinking and questioning. Ultimately believe whatever, but I’m convinced that messiah is Yeshua ( Jesus Christ) and he already came, which explains the feast of Passover, the gift of the Holy Spirit in Shavuot, and of course Succot which has yet to be fulfilled. The gospel is for the Jew first then the gentile, but we will all be one in the end. The institutional church has missed the point in so many ways and has been following incorrect interpretations and making them doctrine. This is why I don’t conform to any denomination and don’t call myself a Christian.
The angels and fallen angels are what this is about. God is still the creator. Any being that has visited earth is fallen. Or doing gods will. I still call myself a Christian. And no we will not be one in the end. Muslims and Jews as well as others will believe the anti Christ is the savior. He will save nothing. He will make peace by force and manipulation. In high school, our pastor gave us two statements that I still remember. 1) The Bible does not contradict science. 2) The translation from Hebrew of what is now "day", did not mean a 24 hour period. It meant "a period of time" and that period was not defined. For instance the world was created in 7 days. Each day lasted millions of years. I have taken those lessons to mean the church acknowledges a lot of the Bible was written in terms of what the writers or translators understood and is not always literal. Some of this video is reminiscent of Egyptian stories posted on other channels. I watched one yesterday about the Persians. It is looking like scholars are starting to see the Persian, Egyptian, Greek, Hebrew, Hindu, Aztec and others all are beginning to line up with their stories of the beginnings of humans,

'It is gods will' never came close to answering my questions during confirmation classes. This series, gentlemen, has opened up my mind and you have answered many, many questions and if truth be told, has also invoked even more questions. as an existential philosopher who recently had a spiritual awakening it's extremely encouraging hearing others are doing the same. not an onlyist by any means but I pretty much exclusively use messianic translations to maintain the use of elohim in the appropriate context.
I found, appreciated and understood so much more of the Bible after attending seminary and translating for myself. I have no doubt that the agenda of the translator must be considered. I feel bad that most have not been at least through seminary. I am preparing to re-study Hebrew and Greek in relation to the Bible and will factor in what was said here.
I know where you're coming from - I began that search back in the mid 70s and of course then books were difficult to find ....today, it might be worse because there are so many able to roar about anything they wish ... Anyway, the problem is 'original sources ' ( and none exist ) and the 'context ' of the 'meaning' and whether a translator actually understood the 'context' and 'original meaning'. It's all worth contemplating for learning yet the bottom line is that "The Spirit" is what is being taught - and it's very simple ...... as St Francis may have said, " Preach the Gospel at all times. They vary from excellent to not worth reading and I have personally found when you are in a situation when you translate for yourself you find many interpretations because the words mean more than one thing and, therefore, change the meaning of the entire paragraph. This is where the personal bias of the translator often comes in. What story are they trying to tell? Is it absolute truth? Can it be verified in other works? On and on. Like the eye of a camel and the eye of a needle as others have posted on TH-cam. In Greek: Jesus walked the water, walked underneath the water, walked through the water, walked above the water are all correct. Which is right? Are you sure? Based on what? Your bias or is it what the author ment?

Paul Wallis has restored and strengthened my faith. I was raised in the church, know the Bible front to back and knowing it doesn't make sense walked away from the church as an adult. Paul's work drew my interest because it actually allows the Bible to make sense. I was fully indoctrination so young I still at times struggle with fear of the corrected translation and have to remind myself that no matter what I was indoctrinated with I would experience that with new learning. If I had been taught God is a purple people eater and would cast me to hell for eternity if I ever question or deny that I would experience some fear along the way learning that actually was never the case. Christians believe only they will have eternal life, Muslims believe the same, and so on...to the point its clear the entire collection of current religions are clearly flawed.

But if their message was of peace amongst men I would be inclined to research them further. I am 61 years old and in my lifetime I have been banned from Bible study five times in three different religions. As a child of 5 yrs until I was ten yrs I had noticed things in the Bible that made no sense to me and when pushed for an explanation on certain subjects the clergy could not explain in a way I could understand without the flaws of their New explanations becoming known to me leading to more questions not resolved! Three different religions made me feel like I was mentally challenged in some way that I could not understand the Bible or their interpretation of it like everyone else did. One Church broke my grandmother's heart because I was kicked out of Bible study for the last time! I felt bad for my grandmother but I stood my ground and at a very young age I realized the reason I couldn't go to church there was because I asked the right questions and that they were the ones that were hiding something or was lying to me and it scared me terribly. It is so rewarding to see this stuff (before I die lol) come out to the public and anyone who was ever treated the way I was and thought they were no good or was not Church Worthy and was going to Hell because of it. When religion is talked about in a group of people I am around I tell them to read the beginning of the Bible not Genesis but the pages before that! It explains where the Bible was made and was written, where it was printed. Also it tells of how many scholars and Nobel prize winners ect.(smarter people🤷🏻♀️) that were chosen by the highest religious people?🤷🏻♀️ to interpret the different languages into a universal written form and then of course revised using the same method later. I was taught the same thing as a Jehovahs Witness in the ministerial school. They get a bad rap but they really focus on ancient translations and meanings. I left the Hall, but it helped build a great foundation for my passion in ancient beliefs, myths, holy books, cultures etc. Most christians just listen to their priest or pastor and never do their own research. @David I spent years in their ministerial school and was never taught that Michael is Yeshua. Yeshua is the name of Jesus, just in a different language. The Witnesses are also nothing like the mormons lol. The big differences that separate witnesses fron other denominations are; They believe Jesus was and is not god. He is a separate entity altogether, although he was gods first creation and sat on the right of his throne until he eventually took the throne. They also believe hell is not a physical place, but using the older translations where you find the word "gehenna" (which is where the idea of hellfire comes from) alongside a verse that specifically says hell is the common grave, they believe the ones sent to "hell" just dont get to experience the afterlife - because a god of love couldn't torture and burn his children as other denominations say.
And we would use multiple bibles, with biblical encyclopedias and books for Hebrew and Aramaic translations as well. I'm not sure how they change/add/remove words. From what I've seen, many other denominations are far more guilty of that. There are good people in all of them, but I noticed some key differences is all.

I'm a secularist too and fiercely against any religion because I consider them an infinite source of evil, however I do not condone lying even if the purpose is to attack religious beliefs. I value honesty and integrity before anything else. When Biglino talks about the grammatical "anomaly" of elohim (God/gods) he lies deliberately. It's not just an error: even a beginner in biblical Hebrew knows that elohim is in most cases a singular because it's an intensive plural, i.e. a plural form used for emphasis but with a singular meaning. There are many examples of intensive plural throughout the Bible, and not just in connection with God but also with humans and even things and animals.

Everyone knows about the intensive plural, also called "pluralis excellentiae" or abstract plural. The Israeli person you mentioned did not lie: the "im" suffix is plural in most cases, but not always. Do you know the Hebrew word for "face"? It's "panim" (פָנִים). "Water" is "mayim" (מַיִם), "sky" is shamayim (שָׁמַיִם), "Egypt" is Mitsrayim (מִצְרַיִם), "Jerusalem" is Yerushalaim (יְרוּשָׁלַם), "life" is hayim (חַיִּים), "blindness" is sanverim (סַנְוֵרים). For example when God disapproved of Cain's offer, Genesis 4:5 says "So Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell" but the Hebrew text literally says that "his faces [panim] fell". Was Cain a monster with more than one face? Of course not, that's why the plural Hebrew word "panim"/"faces" must be translated as singular, "face". In Isaiah 29:22 we read that "Jacob will not be ashamed anymore. His face will not grow pale", but the original Hebrew text says "His faces will not grow pale" because it uses the plural word "panim"/"faces" as in the previous example. The "beast" in Job 40 is just one, yet the Hebrew text uses the plural. Genesis 21:2 says that "Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age" but the Hebrew word is "zequnim", literally "old ages" (from the singular zaqun). In Malachi 1:6 God says "If I am a master, where is your fear of me?" but the Hebrew text literally says "If I am masters", because it uses the plural word "adonim" (masters, lords) instead of the singular "adon".

I know that for a fact because I studied ancient Hebrew and I own all the dictionaries that he has ever mentioned: Brown-Driver-Briggs, Ernest Klein, Philippe Reymond, Alonso Schökel, Clark-Hirsch. Every one of them, no exception, says that "elohim" means "god". Among those dictionaries there are even a couple that were compiled by Hebrew speakers, one was published by the Haifa University in Israel in collaboration with researchers and professors at the Jerusalem University. Hasn't Biglino read the dictionaries he quotes? Of course he has, but he conveniently lies about this fundamental word. And it's not just the dictionaries: all the academics that Biglino himself considers the best in the world say the same thing, for example Biglino's favorite which is prof. G. Garbini who taught at La Sapienza University in Rome, or prof. Emanuel Tov from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. All of that has nothing to do with religion and dogmas because we all call "god" Zeus, Apollo, Marduk, Ra, Anubis, etc. Another lie is when he says that elohim has a plural meaning that is hidden by common translations and rendered as a singular. Ask any first-semester student of ancient Hebrew and they'll laugh at this absurdity. It's a language that has a feature called "intensive plural" (also called plural of excellence, abstract plural,etc) whereby the plural form can be used to emphasize the meaning of a singular subject. The idea that this is a made-up explanation created by theologians is typical of Biglino's conspirationist and paranoid attitude. The reality is that in the Bible such a feature is applied even to animals and objects. For example the "beast" in Job chapter 40 is undeniably just one and yet it's called in the plural (behemot, which is the plural of behemah/animal). It's of course translated in the singular because that's the actual meaning, whereas a "literal" translation would be a mistake. After all, Yhwh himself is called elohim over two thousand times, and he certainly was a singular entity. In order to support his lies, Biglino even goes so far as claiming that the San Paolo interlinear edition published in Italy left the word elohim untranslated because no one in the world knows its meaning. This edition, he claims, is for experts only and reveals truths that common editions hide. False. If you read it you'll find an Introduction where it's clearly stated that the names of god (elohim, Yhwh,etc) and all the most common and relevant words are left untranslated **to help beginners of Hebrew memorize them** . That Introduction also refers the reader to a list at the end of the volume where all those words are grouped together and translated. And how is "elohim" translated? As "god". The most incredible aspect of such lie is that the same Introduction and list also appear in the volumes which include Biglino's translations. It's also a lie that Biglino worked for the Vatican: he never did. He was briefly contracted by a catholic publisher which is not owned or managed by the Vatican. It's also a lie that those translations were "Vatican-approved", they weren't. San Paolo's interlinears are merely didactic tools for learners of Hebrew as clearly stated in the Introduction, they are not real translations but just rough drafts for educational purposes. As such they are of no concern to the Vatican which never approves, rejects, or even merely acknowledges this kind of didactic work. To be thorough, those volumes also included an actual translation which was printed on the facing page of the interlinear: it's called "Nuovissima versione dai testi originali" ("Newest version from the original texts") and was originally published in the 1970s. It was often reprinted since then but Biglino had nothing to do with it (he only studied Hebrew for a short time when he was already fifty years old). When Biglino shows those volumes he carefully avoids to read it otherwise his deception would be obvious. Another colossal lie concerns the beginning of Genesis: those verses are about the creation of the world, of the sky, the sun, the stars,etc. by god/elohim, and that's the literal, undeniable meaning. Biglino is well aware of the extreme danger it poses to his crackpot ideas because if one takes it literally ("let's pretend that...") almost all of his work wouldn't hold (plurality of gods, aliens,etc.). So what does he do? He comes up with something so absurd and ridiculous I have no words to describe it: he says that the beginning of Genesis does not talk about the creation of the world etc. but (brace yourself!) about the construction of an artificial dam! Unbelievable. He says that the supposed dam corresponds to the Hebrew word רָקִיעַ ("raqia") which is usually translated as "firmament". Let's not waste time debating its meaning: the Hebrew text literally says that elohim made the sun, the moon, the stars, and put them in the "raqia". Can the sun, the moon, the stars, be put in an artificial dam? Of course not. I have to stop now because I've already been too long, but I just want to reiterate that in no way I'm defending religious beliefs: I consider the Bible as fiction and to me Yhwh is only an imaginary entity just like the Greek gods or the Flying Spaghetti Monster, but I can't stand such a huge intellectual dishonesty as Biglino's. He doesn't want to educate people but only to replace the lies of religions with his own lies in order to be successful and make money. He has basically copied what the church has been doing for two millennia.

First of all, 'elohim' is not a name, but instead a descriptor, or a title. Second of all, depending on the context of the sentence, 'elohim' can be used in a singular or a plural sense.
Psalm 82 is perhaps the clearest example. The psalm refers to Yahweh’s administration as a council. The first verse reads:

There is no basis for concluding that the biblical writers would have viewed Yahweh as no better than another elohim. A biblical writer would not have presumed that Yahweh could be defeated on any given day by another elohim, or that another elohim (why not any of them?) had the same set of attributes. That is polytheistic thinking. It is not the biblical picture.
The Hebrew authors of the Old Testament clearly knew that there was one God, Yahweh, who possesses superior attributes with respect to all elohim. But God’s attributes aren’t what makes him an elohim, since inferior beings are members of that same group. Hubby and I have noted all this 20yrs ago reading Torah/Tanakh....we took a deep drive and never looked back since....we are still reading and learning and knowing a few languages and knowing Hebrew also helps a lot.

We don't have the real Bible anyway. What we have are copies of copies of copies x 100, which have been redacted and edited hundreds of times! Anyone who thinks they have the "word of God" is kidding themselves! They are the words of unscrupulous men who just wanted to dominate and control others.
Elohim can refer to a human in terms of human judges and leaders, that's what Psalm 82 meant about that God is judging among those Israelite priests-leaders that behave wickedly to the common people... So we have to read the text from its contexts.

A burning question that I have is what happened to Gilgamesh’s corpse? I suggest that you should also refer one of the oldest Bible translations in Geez (Ethiopia's old/dead language) to enrich your research works. For example, according to our Bible, in Ethiopian we say Elohe instead of Elohim. Hope you know that the best translation ever found about the book of Enoch is in that of Geez language. By the way Geez is the southern Semetic language with one of the oldest alphabets and different number systems that is still used in Ethiopia.

People need to awake up and keep their minds Open.When I witnessed the orbs in my back yard 30 years Ago I woke my husband saw them too but I won't go into it.I have searched since to try to understand they was three foot from us.
Ive seen orbs at my forest tree line. I was 150 feet away, it was about thirty feet off the ground and it went back and forth twice and on its second return it vanished. Ive seen orbs in the same area three times since i bought and moved to my off grid property in northern idaho area. Ive been her since 2019. I have seen things i wont go into detail. It's pretty clear that you already find the Trinity in the old Testament. And the ancients used "Sons of God", (bene ha'elohim) not Angel's (Messenger). Today what we see as Aliens are mostly Fallen Angel's with their deceiving messages (New Age Doctrines, aka repeat of gnostic teachings).

It's entirely possible that Elohim and elohim are used in different contexts within the Holy Bible, and this is particularly true considering there isn't one single language from which it is written (greek, hebrew, and aramaic). Sure, they're the same word but clearly have different meanings. For example, indians could refer to indigenous people from India or indigenous people from the Americas, AND it could also be a sports team as in Indians.

Correct. Elohim based on context can mean little g gods as in watchers (aka angels) or Big G God as in YHWH. Yahweh means I am (the) I am. I have suggested books if interested...2 are by Dr. Doug Petrovich & Dr. Doug Woodward. I also recommend bools by Derek Gilbert & Zev Porat who is a Messianic Rabbi (Israelite in Israel).

One last note in Islam the holy book from God is the Quraan and there is only one arabic version that had never changed since more than 1400 year of course there are translations to other languages which are only translations and the real Quraan is in arabic language.

This revelation is spreading and as a firm believer it has only strengthened my faith. I first came across this through Dr Heiser. I have been reading more messianic versions such as the Rose Tov Bible and the complete Jewish Bible by Stern because I was getting frustrated and dissatisfied with mistranslation of scripture. Whether one believes or not it still challenges the origins of man, the universe and ultimately points to the supernatural. I respect very much the views research of correct translation as I’m a translator myself, however I would argue that YHWH or I AM is the supreme Elohim, which would explain the fallen Elohim and the conflict with Lucifer, created by YHWH or I AM ( Ezekiel 28 from v11-19) . There are so many layers in meaning reading in the original Hebrew, I personally believe it’s a deliberate attempt to get us humans thinking and questioning. Ultimately believe whatever, but I’m convinced that messiah is Yeshua ( Jesus Christ) and he already came, which explains the feast of Passover, the gift of the Holy Spirit in Shavuot, and of course Succot which has yet to be fulfilled. The gospel is for the Jew first then the gentile, but we will all be one in the end. The institutional church has missed the point in so many ways and has been following incorrect interpretations and making them doctrine. This is why I don’t conform to any denomination and don’t call myself a Christian.
The angels and fallen angels are what this is about. God is still the creator. Any being that has visited earth is fallen. Or doing gods will. I still call myself a Christian. And no we will not be one in the end. Muslims and Jews as well as others will believe the anti Christ is the savior. He will save nothing. He will make peace by force and manipulation. And no the word isn't just for anyone. It's for everyone. No one above another.

In high school, our pastor gave us two statements that I still remember. 1) The Bible does not contradict science. 2) The translation from Hebrew of what is now "day", did not mean a 24 hour period. I have taken those lessons to mean the church acknowledges a lot of the Bible was written in terms of what the writers or translators understood and is not always literal. It is looking like scholars are starting to see the Persian, Egyptian, Greek, Hebrew, Hindu, Aztec and others all are beginning to line up with their stories of the beginnings of humans,

as an existential philosopher who recently had a spiritual awakening it's extremely encouraging hearing others are doing the same. not an onlyist by any means but I pretty much exclusively use messianic translations to maintain the use of elohim in the appropriate context.
I found, appreciated and understood so much more of the Bible after attending seminary and translating for myself. I have no doubt that the agenda of the translator must be considered. I feel bad that most have not been at least through seminary. I am preparing to re-study Hebrew and Greek in relation to the Bible and will factor in what was said here.
I know where you're coming from - I began that search back in the mid 70s and of course then books were difficult to find ....today, it might be worse because there are so many able to roar about anything they wish ...
Anyway, the problem is 'original sources ' ( and none exist ) and the 'context ' of the 'meaning' and whether a translator actually understood the 'context' and 'original meaning'.
It's all worth contemplating for learning yet the bottom line is that "The Spirit" is what is being taught - and it's very simple ...... as St Francis may have said, " Preach the Gospel at all times. And when absolutely necessary use words !! "
@@termikesmike yes, source material and tranlation was/is difficult, and you would think the internet makes it easier. There are people who have studied their whole lives. Seminary helped a lot with the translation of Hebrew and Greek (some of the oldest existing works).

The " BibleHub " on line is best all round 'source' = over 30 translations in English plus Strong, Greek and Hebrew , and very interesting Aramaic which is 'oldest original source' ....numerous ' classic' commentaries , etc
yet we know, whether believer or not , bias is everywhere ....and Constantine wanting to get everyone on the same page brings everyone to a ' majority opinion ' .....we're all children and have a different understanding of everything depending on " window we are looking through " ...Time and Space are simply a playground in Eternity (my view ).

They vary from excellent to not worth reading and I have personally found when you are in a situation when you translate for yourself you find many interpretations because the words mean more than one thing and, therefore, change the meaning of the entire paragraph. This is where the personal bias of the translator often comes in. What story are they trying to tell? Is it absolute truth? Can it be verified in other works? On and on. Like the eye of a camel and the eye of a needle as others have posted on TH-cam.
In Greek: Jesus walked the water, walked underneath the water, walked through the water, walked above the water are all correct. Which is right? Are you sure? Based on what? Your bias or is it what the author ment?

The information you reveal is quite extraordinary. The resulting outlook is refreshing. It is so much more inspiring than the former demand for us to have faith and not to question. Questions are how answers are obtained. Religions refusing to deal with the anomalies in the bible is telling in itself. Many are opening their minds and their eyes to a new reality. Paul Wallis has restored and strengthened my faith. I was raised in the church, know the Bible front to back and knowing it doesn't make sense walked away from the church as an adult.
Paul's work drew my interest because it actually allows the Bible to make sense. I was fully indoctrination so young I still at times struggle with fear of the corrected translation and have to remind myself that no matter what I was indoctrinated with I would experience that with new learning. If I had been taught God is a purple people eater and would cast me to hell for eternity if I ever question or deny that I would experience some fear along the way learning that actually was never the case. Christians believe only they will have eternal life, Muslims believe the same, and so on...to the point its clear the entire collection of current religions are clearly flawed.
That doesn’t address the Person & statements of Jesus Christ, that no one gets to the Creator but by going through Him. No one else has died for our sins & as time goes on, our sinfulness becomes more incurable to fix on our own. Oh, and I never look at a truck & assume it evolved from a tricycle; pretty hard to deny a Creator.

@@jasperkensington2644 I never lost my faith in the Creator of all things, never stopped praying and never stopped loving Jesus who I do believe walked this earth and was sent to help minister too and save humanity. I think He was likely one of a few messengers that came here to to teach people to be kind and love one another around the world. I cannot speak much on that however because I'm ufamiliar with them. But if their message was of peace amongst men I would be inclined to research them further.
The red actual words of Jesus in the Bible are the only parts of the Bible that are without contradiction and/or clear ulterior motives. They do make sense and speak to me. I have always held steadfast to these teachings in the way I live and most importantly treat others. It is the churches and religions that lost their way a long time ago and are responsible for the rest of the Bible and other religious texts being misunderstood and at times even misused for personal gain by the powers-that-be throughout history.

The God of old testament I hope is not The Supreme God as it seemed f**ken psycho, cruel, harsh, cold and unloving and demented to me. I mean an example is how he says to his people if u are disloyal I will bring famine and u will eat ur own children because u will be so hungry.
