Interesting to see where you guys go with this. Like it was said the ultimate test is the seat of the pants feel. My humble opinion, suspension is the best mod you can do to your bike. It’s a true to life game changer. Stay safe out there…
That video was taken while we were almost done with the development of our NexGen™ 14" Shocks, which are now out for the HD Trikes. Link to the unique details on these shocks- www.dkcustomproducts.com/dk-custom-nexgentm-14-trike-series-shockstm-for-harley-davidson-trikes-1955.htm Link to Front Suspension component video that makes a big improvement- th-cam.com/video/N1cUpgNJ7i8/w-d-xo.html Agree with you that suspension upgrades can really make a HUGE difference. Can't tell you how many folks have been on the verge of selling their Harley...UNTIL they put some good suspension on it, then they loved it. Thanks for your comment! 👍
Knowledge is power. We spent hundreds of hours developing our NexGen™ shocks, and it would have been longer without the shock dyno to help us see what was going on.
I have to upgrade the suspension on my 2022 FLRT. Where I mostly ride in Australia the roads are bone shakers. I have had some real bad jolts with the factory shocks. The local HD dealer told me the factory fits aren’t adjustable. Thanks guys for the info.
Factory shocks can be adjusted for pre-load, which will affect how much it jolts at a bump. But there is no adjustment for rebound damping like these have- www.dkcustomproducts.com/twin-adjustable-performance-rear-shocks-for-harley-davidson-dk-bt-shks.htm
Yeah, we've done that many times in the past...before we were making videos. We should have done it this time. Of course, there is only one line on the chart since the stock shocks do not have a rebound adjustment.
@@DKCustomProducts I like HD motorcycles... the best looking cruisers on the road. Period. I sometimes question the quality of the parts with longevity in mind.
I am not understanding what you mean by "how that would pertain to a trike being having the rear axle and the space apart between the shocks". We have done videos on shock testing on a Trike, here is one that you can see here- th-cam.com/video/Z4Dhg48_KQA/w-d-xo.html
Thanks man, appreciate your business and kind words. I think you will be very well pleased with our 14" NexGen™ Shocks. They are a step above. www.dkcustomproducts.com/dk-custom-nexgentm-14-trike-series-shockstm-for-harley-davidson-trikes-1955.htm
Have you done any investigation into adding a fluid damping shock to the newer HD touring models in place of the non-damped, spring only shock on these bikes? I am thinking it would improve the ride.
Yes, extensive testing, and you are correct, when you have full featured shocks on both sides it is a BIG Improvement. www.dkcustomproducts.com/frame-suspension-c2-259.htm
Yes. We currently do not have the 11.12, or 13" on the site because PA is Out of Stock Again. When they have them back in stock they will be back on the site. We do have the 14" Shocks that we co-developed with PA on the site because we do have some inventory of them.

Hi Jack, thanks for the good words, coming from you that really means a lot to us. 👍
Thank you for testing everything you can get your hands on. The knowledge it give you is truly your advantage.

It would be interesting to see how stock shocks play out on that machine compared to aftermarket shocks.

I can’t afford to change yet but when I can I’m definitely going to DK for my lift and shocks for my Tri Glide. Hopefully soon, Louisiana roads suck!

Yes. We currently do not have the 11.12, or 13" on the site because PA is Out of Stock Again. When they have them back in stock they will be back on the site.

I bought Super Shox.
Those are a very nice upgrade over stock.

I almost have to keep mine at 1 or 2 because I’m a little lighter weight than most riders, and our roads are trash!
Glad you have got it dialed in for you and are enjoying the ride! 👍
