Wow that is a great size. Almost like an Arkfeld mini size which is quite appealing. The price on the Wurrkos is very nice too. Thanks for sharing Dom.
One important note you forgot to mention is that it is vastly cheaper than the arkfeld. That makes a big difference too. If I didn't already have 2 arkfelds I'd be picking this up today. I had to quit with olight. They come out with new versions or colorways every 2 months it's just too much. Maybe I just have bad fomo or whatever but it was just too much. I do want to bring up 1 further point that that rarely gets talked about. Olight flashlights have absolutely incredible battery retention. I can charge something up use for a day to like 70% pick it up 3 months or whatever later and it's still on the same charge. I've seen a lot that bleed out slowly but in my experience olight is rock solid in this regard and that's really important as a light has to be one of your most dependable items. Maybe I'm just imagining this but my baton and arkfeld and even the keychain ones can sit forever and seemingly hold their charge very well.
Just got mine today. Two issues with it. Holding down the rear switch does not put it in moonlight mode. It just turn on and cycles through the spotlight brightness levels as if you did one click and then held down. The second issue is a nit-pick. In the water droplet mode it tends to show about 4 droplets of the same color before fading into the next color. However, when it fades to red it shows only one droplet before moving onto the next color. Some screwed up the programming on that.
I picked one of these up back at the end of March. It is a fun light with all of the options. The battery on mine was rattling in the case, which from feedback from others, was a common problem on the first run. I had to open mine and add just a bit of foam to sure up the battery. Moving the side light to the front would be a good idea but after being inside this thing there is just no room to make that happen. It's nice to use the side light for some mood lighting when your sitting out by the fire pit. It's not as refined as the Arkfeld Pro but it's also a third of the price. Definitely a win for Wurkkos.
@@ks-hg5vo it is a pouch type battery soldered in. Not easy to replace at all. I pulled the end cap off, put a small piece of foam in and closed it back up.
Another great video and I already ordered one because of your review and im sure other will too. Thank you good sir for reviewing everything and not just the Big Name brands that not all of us can afford.
Good way to show off your beautiful PM3 (or was it PM2?)! I bought two of them and have been holding on to one as a gift that I gave my 3-year-old uncle, today.
Don't know if you've eared of the TrustFire Mini X3, that is also a 'flat' flashlight, that packs a green laser, front facing light, UV emitter and a side/underneath warm light to act as a lantern used with the magnetic tail
Nice review of an interesting flashlight. It's worth noting that according to Wurkkos, the side light is 90 cri. Also interesting to note that a "feature" wurkkos included is "reverse polarity protection to protect against improper battery installation" 😂
Yeah, I was thinking the same. Seems though that the Sofirn has the work light in the better position. They don't seem all that much bigger/heavier/pricier than the Wurkkos. Have you handled either of them? I currently wouldn't miss the laser pointer. Maybe I gotta check those out instead. Thanks for the review!
@@zazeechmoreno I own a few of the older IF23. It is an outstanding toolbag or car flashlight, but its 21700 makes it too big for pocket EDC. If you're looking for a dual function flashlight (spot+area), check out the Sofirn SC03. Also a 21700 light, it has dropped to $15 now. It doesn't come with a magnetic tail, but Sofirn sells that accessory for a few dollars.
This looks like a good competitor to the TrustFire Mini X3. The X3 retails for $79 but currently has a 30% discount code which brings the price down to about $55. I think where the floodlight (95 CRI) is located on the X3 is better than having it on the side like this HD01 because you can sit the light inside your shirt or shirt pocket for use. The X3 also has a UV light. I really enjoy my X3. The HD01 still looks like a great flashlight though! Thanks Max!
well having flood on the side will allow you to use it on the brim of your cap, above your ears for beanie, or on shoulder for t-shirt. not intutive, but i thinik it actually offers more than having it on the flat face. only time it would really not work is when you are wearing a shirt with proper collar. in that case you'll have to use the light on the end rather than the side light.
Yes they should definitely bring the light on the front side and move the buttons on the back of the flashlight like all the normal flashlight which will be more comfortable to use your fist and fight with it in your hand and definitely improve on the IPX rating
My Arkfeld still shows full power on the indicator until it just dies, costomer support was condescending and stupid with me this may be my next flash light.
In all my years of carrying a flashlight, and I started back when the maglight mini was new, I have never needed more out of a light than on and off. They lost my interest after throwing in a couple of brightness levels.

POLSKA GÓROOOOM!!!
I’ve come to like the flat lights.. i especially am interested in this one now!
❤ it. Great price too. It will work well in my submersible when I go down to visit the Titanic.
I love my HD01, highly recommend it for the price, watch me take it outside on my channel.

What sort of battery was in it. Is it easy to replace when it fails? Love the form factor hate the fixed battery

I think right now is one of the best flat flashlight you can get! Great review as always!
I really appreciate this video, and the price was wonderful. Went ahead and ordered it to give it a try myself

i have never pulled the trigger on the arkfeld pro. might try this one and then go for the ark feld.
Interesting. It adds a laser, but otherwise seems to have many of the features of Sofirn's IF23 and IF24. I may just have to get this one!

how does it compare to the sofirn IF24?
Really looks like a remixed Arkfeld light.
My Arkfeld still shows full power on the indicator until it just dies, costomer support was condescending and stupid with me this may be my next flash light.
I still want a Knight Rider mode: a dot going up and down.
The have memory?and how mha is the battery?
they do have memory, and not sure of capacity.
Arkfeld will do laser and white light simultaneously, go into laser then double click.
Lockout mode?
Yes, 4 clicks to lock/unlock.

Looks like a great light. I really think the side light should have been high CRI.
Personally I would rather have that than the rgb features…
It can also start fire and light up my ciggaret in seconds😅
The phrase I was listening for (but never heard) was "ridiculously low price".
definitely not one of those.
Idk going from my penlight to this is gonna feel like im carrying a roku remote
lol, true.
I use colored flashing side lights while walking at night. To make myself visible.
Like the arkfeld pro and IF24 had a child
👍🍻

I wish I didn't see this. My wallet hates you. I have the sorfin but it's thick. This one is more pocket friendly.
Can’t agree with the first part, this millennial generation is always about swap out for the latest, and not hold on to something for a lifetime.
man these vapes are really getting out of hand
In HD2 id suggest UV light instead of that gay rainbow
that is such a bad take about the non removable battery.
Nope. Sorry. I want to be able to replace a battery. For various reasons. Nope.
