Super video, Peiman is really impressive. Thank you for the content. P.S. Why everyone try to beat the "strongman equipped deadlift" world record and nobody try the Powerlifting Raw World Record? Thank you
Hey Claudio, thank you! I think everyone goes for the Strongman record because it's the heaviest which looks better to the average person who doesn't know the difference and because there is more money and fame in it.
e first thing is that the international deadlift for strongman sports is not equipped, meaning it is not like the imaginary numbers in the equipped bench, 600 kilos and 400 kilos. They are wearing a suit. The suit helps stabilize the body, allowing you to lift weights without lifting your body. Exactly like a backpack strap
Before he goes for the 505, he really needs to do something to sort out his lockout. It would be devastating to see it go 90% of the way up but not get the down signal. If he does that I have no doubt he's capable.
It's messy because he is relying so much on the suit. He cant even bend at the hips to legs for the deadlift he relys on the weight, when he starts to pull on the bar it puts his hips in place. And once he about locks out the suit is not helping cause his not bend at the hip. The suit, It's not helping much I'd say 70lb maybe 100lb at most at the very bottom. But that 70lb means alot at these weights. You can tell by how tight it is.
Pehiman is one of the guys really looking like having a chance to break the record, however, just not yet, he has to train his Lock, he often just holds the bar but not fully locks and that record is done (in full Eddie fan voice) with a deadlift bar and super duper strictly calibrated plates , different equipment can make a ton of difference in the day of the lift, he uses a couple of bumpers there wich give space in the bar and helps getting off the floor slower, like the plates on the Arnold's, however, unlike the elephant bar the bar he uses barely fights him and therefor he lifts more, not saying it adds 200kg to his lift but is a bit of a help. Anyway, i'm pumped for this man. However, my horse for that record now is Karuth the deadlifter who is a beast and did 482 recently, raw and he can lock
@@StrengthUniverse i think so, i feel Pehimam and Ivan are just scratching for those 500, but unlike Hall and Thor ibhave doubts about them so far, not so much with Karuth
Thank you for your beautiful video .i know peiman personally and I talked with him several times . If he can gain more bodyweight he can lift even 520. Don't forget Eddie hall was 200 kg or Hafthor was 210 kg . Peiman is only 160 kg .that means he is stronger than those guys basically
Hi Mehdi, Thanks so much for your comment, much appreciated! Peiman's a beast and I look forward to see what numbers he is able to achieve in the next few months.
wow....dude how dumb u can be ?? 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ Those guys have more weight than him bcz they are taller than him.....thor was 200 kgs when he did the lift bcz he was 6 9' ........if he tries to become as heavy as thor...he might die.

12:45 so he lifts almost half a tonne and there's still some strongman log just laying right behind him, who cares if he looses his consciousness/stumbles and falls right back on it ;)
I have the feeling that the same will happen to him like what happened to Ivan Makarov. Massive lifts in training, but probably will struggle to peak at the right time.
@@StrengthUniverse absolutely, its astonishing how many guys are currently pulling 470 or more. Also Rauno Heinla had pulled 470 a couple of weeks ago. I'm just missing the structured plan with the peak at the right time. I'm a little bit critical when guys lift such huge numbers in training because often they fail it in competition
It's a bit like pulling the weight from a slightly higher height so instead of pulling from 9" he won't be experiencing the full weight until (about) 12". How much it helps depends on the lifter
Hi, When I have time to make it. Each video takes between 12 to 48 hours to make so I can only between 2 and 4 videos a week. Hopefully I can get something out later this week.
It doesn’t matter if he bounced the second rep of 477.5kg. It shows that he can probably get two reps of a weight not much lower than the world record. Thor’s best gym lift is around 475kg for 1 rep and Eddie’s was around 450kg. It’s guy did a 492kg gym lift, he could get 502 very soon I believe, in a year I think he’d be capable of 510 possibly.
@@jonahtuilagi3231 I see your point. But in a 1-rep max there's no benefit of a bounce off the floor. I agree he's close to a > 501kg equipped deadlift.
he probably doesn't care about the record, just beating eddie, pissing him off and creating drama for the fight xd On the other hand, in May 2020 it didn't seem like anyone in the world was within 40kg distance of the record so maybe he just thought 501 was safe for some years.
@@makaan699 I think it was a bit about pissing off Eddie but makarov had already made an attempt at 501kg before Hafthor and to be fair he was very close so Thor would have known 501 wasn't safe for long.
Peiman is clearly unable to lockout the big weights. I hope he focuses on the elephant in the room and fixes this. Maybe he should quit the big doubles, for what they take out of you and the fact that he is training for a single.
Fantastic weight off the floor, but some of the lockouts are imho not quite there. More talc on the quads should sort that. It would be nice to see someone tuck Eddie and Thor into bed. Great video, thank you.

His lockout is pretty sketchy. Magnus Ver Magnusson probably would not see that as good lift.
