rx580 still crazy good in 2022, you can run gta at almost everithing maxed and still performing well, and in tac games putting almost everything at low and still doing 144+fps

With RX 580 you can have a nice console gaming experience in GTA V at very high settings and with 4K res.
This gpu is amazing for it's price, totally worth buying

I have an oc on a nitro+ 480 8gb to 1.4ghz and I'm getting pretty similar fps. I must say im pretty impressed with how these cards have aged.
Thinking about upgrading to a 3070, I'm glad I hooked onto this 480 for so long and waited. Going from this to a 3070 it's going to so nice of an upgrade.

Good advice. Buy a 570. Its the perfect bang for buck gpu. Im pretty sure you can fit it in a dell optiplex without case mods but youll have to upgrade psu.

Wish my 580 would stay pegged at 98-99% it fluctuates and it's not a bottleneck I have a 3600X. Sometimes in the city it drops to like 80-85% and then in my night club it drops to like 70-75%

Hey guys id like to know what else factors in with the fps output? Im using the exact settings as the guy and when he gets 100-110fps i get about 70-80fps. He did say say a good cpu matters a bit. Is my ryzen 5 1500x sufficient for my rx580 with gta5?

Yes, it looks good without those settings enabled and you get way more FPS :)

I had the RX 580 but it was really laggy, i got like 30-60 fps on a 144hz monitor, i had the exact same gpu you are using, my old cpu was the RYZEN 7 2700. So i just gave that back and got one from a different company and better specs.

hi, my rx 580 is only getting like 50 fps at very high 1080p. No major cpu or ram bottlenecks, and my psu is a bequiet system power 9 600w. Yet my gpu is only using like 70 watts in gta when the average tdp should be closer to 180. My power supply and parts are good, yet im not sure why my results, temps (below 65 degrees) and wattage is so low. It might be a software issue, although i have tried slight overclocking and undervolting and increasing the power limits but to no avail. An indicator of my performance is in Unigine Heaven where at 1080p ultra 2x msaa is 2076. Any suggestions?
(cpu is an i5 2400, which does bottleneck but not a lot, and I should still see much higher results, and 10gb of ddr3 at 1333 mhz, mobo is a gigabyte ha h61ma d2v and the game is being ran off of a 7200 rpm hard drive. When running userbenchmark, it says my gpu is performing as expected but it is not)

GTA only uses 4 cores. A fast quad core will get the same fps in this game. Like an i5 6600K overclocked.
The 3600 gets the same fps as the 3700x in almost every game

gta 5 online will put more stress on the GPU and the fps might drop between 50 to 65 fps, my fps is constantly sitting on 80 to 100 fps in offline mode but 55 to 70 fps in online
