I bought a "broken" rx 580 8gb saphire nitro for 15$ because the owner said it didn't work when he started his pc, when it arrived it worked for me the first time I placed but it was full of artifacts, I switched its bios from the gpu and voilla the gpu was working flawlessly. Best 15$ that I could have spent 👍👍
I got the RX 580 in 2017 to upgrade from my R7 260X paired with an FX8350. I still have that old rig running. I now have a 7900XTX with R7 7700X3D but I didn't pair the RX 580 with the R7 while the main GPU was in the mail. I was quite impressed with the performance of RX580 paired with modern CPU. Performs better than 6500XT that I had laying around and just for fun I ran the RX 580 in Crossfire mode. Crossfire experience was terrible but when you have 2 RX580.
I got Ryzen 3 and RX580 and Been Playing Ratchet&Clank Rift Apart the game get 40 to 60 FPS It handles most games i not interested in 4K or anything since my display 1080p 60 so i happy I pick up the card Early this year on Amazon Renewed to Replace Failing RX570 . i got RX580 All in for about 100$ it XFX 580 8GB i needed new card and did not have a lot money
I'll get this one in month cause it's enough for my R5 5600G and it's relatively cheap, around 2500-3k UAH (66-80$ USD) so this veteran of crypto mining can give my 1080p/72Hz monitor full potential. Anyway, thanks for tests.
It's good when you are have a low budget on a PC, but if you have more than 80$ USD to spend on GPU, you better go with RX 6700/RTX 3060 12 Gb for mid-end and RX 5700/6600 / GTX 1070/RTX 2060 or even awful 3050ti for low-end.

For games that depend on cpu a lot like gta v, you'd really feel the bottleneck. I used to have ryzen 3 2200g paired with rx 580, rarely ever getting above 50fps in cities. Switched to ryzen 5 2600, now i can comfortably get 80+ fps. Since your cpu is quite old, i can bet that for most games, you rarely will max out the gpu. I'd suggest if you're getting this gpu, save some and also buy a new cpu+motherboard. AM4 is pretty cheap these days, you can get a Ryzen 5 5600 with something like a b450 motherboard for less than $200. Or skip this gpu entirely and buy rx 6700xt paired with r5 5600. You'll be fine for the next 3 or 4 years

Make a gpu driver reinstall with DDU, find a tutorial if you don't know to do it. Which windows are you using? Maybe is something taking your pc resourses take a look at task manager when not using anything.
I have this card currently and it is brand new, bought it 2 days ago unused and it is horrible. If I try to play minecraft with the chunks set at 7, I get fps drops like crazy. (The fps drops go below 5) I really do not know what to do. I saved my money up for this and it is terrible, if someone knows what to do to get more fps please help.

I have the rx 580 but the temperatures reach 85°c and I already cleaned it along with the paste
Maybe heat pipes are empty that can happen on gigabyte
try undervolting to 1070 it will help reduce temperature a lot , use msi afterburner
