Making Hay with Old(er) Farm Equipment in 2023

  • Making hay using some older equipment, with some slow motion views of how things work thrown in!
    This field was replanted last year with a mix of Orchard, Tall Fescue, Perennial Rye, and Timothy grasses. This season we delayed the first cutting until the seed heads matured so that we would get the benefit of natural overseeding.
    Now we need some rain!

    Brilliant video, I always love watching the baler thrower attachments you guys use in the US - never see them in the UK.

      A thrower for small squares is a must when you're a small scale producer doing most of the work by yourself!

      @@swingoakfarm8675 we often us a 'flat 8' sledge and grab system, but they can be a pain sometimes and I also guess it depends on how you store them.
