- Home Secretary Yvette Cooper attended one of Taylor Swift’s Wembley concerts with her husband after being involved in talks about the singer’s police escort.
Ms Cooper attended the gig with her husband Ed Balls, a former Labour minister, who was offered free tickets by the chief executive of Universal Music, the PA news agency understands.
She had been involved in talks about security for Swift’s London concerts with London mayor Sadiq Khan, but the ultimate decision to give the singer a high-level escort was made by senior police.
The Shake It Off star was given a motorbike convoy to protect her on the way to Wembley despite initial police reservations, The Sun reported.

I find it disturbing that adults who are supposed to be running the country are attending kids pop concerts. I'm nearly 60 years old and I would not be attending a Taylor swift concert even if I had free tickets. I would give the tickets to my children. 🙄

Don't think Starmer saw the question of the Falklands coming. That suggests naivety or stupidity, or both. The several day gap between avoiding the question completely, and coming out with a categoric statement of continued British sovereignty is worrying, and perhaps indicates that there were plans to give the islands up, which have now had to be scrapped, because Labour had once again misread the room....
