    Great overview! I live a little closer to Zanesville so I would add Horns and Dillon to the mix. There really is a lot of great riding out here. 🤘

      I've heard much about both of them! Wish I would we would have had access to Horns about 20 years ago, I healed quicker!

    Would you mind if some of the video was used for combo social media ? I need clips for a membership drive and you have some really good footage

    Thanks for the detailed and engaging overview of the MTB trails in the Columbus area. Looking forward to my next visit to the central Ohio so that I can explore more.

      So sorry I'm just seeing this! I'm not sure, I would say go ahead and do it until someone tells you no. Enjoy!

    Check out the marion ohio quarry park. there has been a lot of new features added, alot of rocky stuff and short climbs.
    About 10+ miles of trail to ride! Also just got involved with combo.

    This is a pretty sick MTB overview of the area.

      Thank you!! Are there any you would add? I want to do a follow up on some of the stuff I missed.

    Oak Openings is really nice if you are up north in the Toledo area. A handful of beginner and intermediate loops, some wooden rollers and a cool wood rope bridge that’s about 15ft off the ground and goes right by some treehouse cabins you can rent. Trailhead has a little skill park and a local brewery and cafe with nice bathrooms and showers. About 12 miles all in. Nearby there is Jermain Park, which is a lot of short steep climbs and switchbacks, about 7 miles I think. Then you are a stones throw from Heritage in Adrian, Mi and, of course, Poto.

    Nice video. Glad to see you care so much for Columbus, OH, by promoting these trail systems. Certainly plan on riding them when I pass thru Ohio.

      Thanks Preston! Another viewer left this comment so I'm obliged to pass it on as well: I can’t recommend enough that you substitute The Baileys in Chauncey for Strouds Runs and Sells Parks in Athens. The single track in Athens is incomparably better than at the Baileys. Much more beautiful views too and a lot more options for more advanced riders. Rock house trail is a good flowy Singletrack at Sells Park with a few really fun downhill trails connecting it to The Athens Trail which parallels the Rockhouse from above. The Sundown, Thunderbunny, and one other make up a 30ish mile loop around the Dow Lake at Strouds Run and is a super fun xc loop with plenty of opportunity’s to ride technical roots and rocks.

    Mohican is probably double the elevation you mentioned. MTB Project is way off. Glad to hear you pronounce Chauncey correctly. Do you know why it's pronounced "wrong"?

    • @LivingtheColumbusWay
      @LivingtheColumbusWay  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Did not know that but glad it’s wrong, Mohican definitely challenges me....I don’t know why it’s pronounced that way?

      @@LivingtheColumbusWay OU Allum - Strouds and Sells park in Athens has some of the most beautiful and nice trails for experienced riders. Athens has a ton of "hidden gems" you should check out in general. Great little plae

      Strouds and Sells are not "incomparably better" than Baileys.

    • @BlackMan614
      @BlackMan614 ปีที่แล้ว

      Baileys is way better. More trails being built and more black diamonds. It is more of a destination trail system.

      I've done a lot of mtb in my life, but with young kids (and living in Colorado for 10 years) I'm not as familiar with Ohio trails.
