Nice one mate, loved it! Great to see more action of these trucks. Interesting to see how big the gap is between the back of the cab and the front of the body, I think because the lack of exhaust and snorkel. A mate of mine at the Hobart City Council said this makes it heaps easier to clean and work on, and all the older Accos are horrible to work on - although who doesn't love an exhaust stack haha! Excellent footage as always mate. Cheers!
Cheers mate, glad! The new Volvos and Ivecos (but especially Ivecos) have very skinny cabs and paired with the bigger Bucher bodies does look a bit strange. Makes sense that it would be a hell of a lot easier to clean, Hobart might find it easier with the new Volvos. Can’t beat an exhaust stack. Haven’t seen a Euro 5 in a while but filmed #71077 today and really made me appreciate that exhaust stack, both looks and sounds. Talking of Hobart City Council, i’m sure you have seen them but if not, the LGAT who they buy them from has posted a photo of the new Volvos and one with signage on it on their Facebook page. Don’t mind it actually, simple but meaningful and eye catching, definitely better than a plain old company name haha! Anyways cheers for the comment and support man!!
@@wasteintasmania They sure do, Hobart seemed happy with their new trucks. The quality of workmanship isn't as good on the new trucks (messy welds, rust when delivered), as the welding and painting is done by robots I was told, and the work isn't cleaned up. Cheers!
@@wasteintasmania Sorry for so many comments haha, TH-cam won't let me edit for some reason. Hobart were going to have one truck with pink signage, but none of the drivers said they would drive it 😂.
@@TassieGarbokind of a shame but i’m not too surprised, QC of waste trucks seems to have slipped along with everything else. Cheers for the info, interesting to know.
