Hi Tom Cruise is OK I used it a bit of the way to Birmingham, but be honest went back to throttle, it's also hard to seet due to the only place you can put it on the bars, it would be better intergrated👍👍👍
A great video thanks for taking the time to show us the issues of installation. Would the cruise not fit on the left grip itself actually on the grip next to the heated grips button - more than likely the grip is too thick as they've engineered it to go on a handlebar width but if it could fit there it would be very easy to operate. I could not use this sadly as my small hands I struggle to hit the N on my DCT NC. I brought the Aoocci but it would not work with my gloves so it got taken off - might fit it in the car !!
I don't think I would put it on the grip with gloves covers mot of it, you can use it easy but you have to move iether hand, I'm doing a 2nd vid showing it, also your right with the Aoocci my glove don't work, not made my mind up if to keep it on myself, I have the one big issue that if some one tries to steal it what damage will be done due to the wires hardwired into the device👍👍👍
@@birchwoodbiker thanks for the reply... glad it wasn't just me re the gloves. Another option for that cruise could you shimmy the heated grip left and fit it the other side of the heated grip switch onto the handlebar - you'd have to cut off the corresponding amount off the end of the grip and hope you don't nick the heated wires but I guess they don't go to the end .....still have the gloves issue of course. If it works where you have it happy days. Ride safe.
Ey up Glad to see your cruise control unit finally arrived I hope you can answer this. On Veridan’s website they look as though they sell a “self adhesive” switch option that fits on the Switch Housing to the right of the Starter/Kill button. Was this not available for your bike?
Not that I could see they originally only had 2 button it's been updated, and being dead honest it's quite hard to use unless you have 15" finger's due to the possition, I've had to use left hand to set it while keeping throttle at speed I needed👍👍
My V85 has the cruise control switches on the left, a much better place to have then than the right (like my Triumph). On that, I end up reaching over with my left hand too. Bit of an arse.
With that new sat Nav screen - how much of the bike's dashboard does it hide? Also, does the new display show what speed you are going? Looks quite nice display.
I can see the NC dash clearly, yes you can set it to see speed, I'm going to do a short vid, but there are loads of good onces it cost me £120. DOWN SIDE the bracket wont stop it been ripped from the bike it's cheap, and the 3 wires are hard wired into the device so if someone decides it's a big phone when parked up there may be issue's👍👍👍
If you iether drill the handlebar to fit the locating pin on the handbrake, or you have the manual NC750 which doesn't have one, you can still use it easy enough👍👍👍
Hi Paul, I just need to collect mine from the post office and pay the customs fees first. How much did you pay in fees? The other thing I decided to go for custom dct switch, it fits neatly and conveniently to the right of the the N/D switch. Saves alot of hassle and will be ease to press while riding I think. All the best
Hi Helmethair, I haven't paid any imprt fees as far as I know they were included in the £236, intresting I didn't see the custom switch I will have a look on there site, it is a great system, just putting my thoughts video out in the morning quiet easy to fit just taking the cover's off is the most difficult👍👍👍
I'm pretty sure the Veridian Cruise works in any gear and any speed. Unlike the knobbled Honda Cruise (over 30 and at least 3rd gear). It's silly they've fitted it to the 2025 X-ADV but not the 2025 NC 🤔
Hi Dervman, it's good I may just have to play bit longer but it wouldn't kick in until 2k rev and Honda do need to add it the control on the veridian is hard to access unless you have mighty long fingers 👍👍👍
OMG Paul!!! Why didn't you order the purpose made NC switch? It's been made to stick to the curved section on the right cluster real close to the grip. Fitted mine last week, again a bit of a pain but ok. I did find it stopped working after a few miles (it wouldn't decrease speed) so I had to take the bike to bits again and found that 2 wires were not crimped properly and came out of the connector. A couple of Wago connectors and PVC tape sorted the issue, and now works perfectly. I informed Veridian and they kindly offered a partial refund which isn't why I informed them, I was just making them aware of a quality issue. The system works great, but it takes some getting used to having the switch on the throttle side, as you need to learn to somehow hold the throttle steady while using the same hand to operate the CC, as the bike will lurch forward or nose dive as you're reaching for it. Not having the NC switch means you've got a longer reach so I hope it works for you. Overall tho, it's a game changer for me - thanks Veridian, and thanks Paul for the vid even tho it came a week late for me 😉
Cheers MrHouse, they didn't have it when I ordered mine 4 months ago, it works out £40 with delivery for the replacement, I like the Cruise, your right when you press the button it has a suddon lurch, I found speed went up then drops back down.👍👍👍
Intresting I have a look but that thunderbox is amazing, there are 2 of them, the one I have allows the max connections it's arround £25 more expensive👍👍👍
@@birchwoodbiker Hi, the reason for not using those scotch locks in a vehicle environment is they get damp, and then corrode and then you lose the connection, but the best way to connect wires is Solder them, bit more time involved but much more connection.
Well done Paul. All looks good be interesting to see how you find the cruise. 👍👍👍

great stuff mate and very interesting! I guess setting it can be hard if your thumb wont reach the buttons!

Is it possible to fit the device to the left handlebar? I’ve always found cruise buttons on the right grip to be a bit of a pain to use.

Cruise Control bracket- could you not bring it over the back of the handle bars so that you can have the orientation that you wanted?
No, the other issue is the switch gear on the NC is wide, so my fingers can't reach when holding throttle, I have to set it with left hand🤔

Oxford now do something very similar to a Thunderbox for less money.

I have a Thunderbox on my 17 NC made fitting spotlights and satnav very easy, great piece of kit.
Just looking at the veridium website, this would be no good for my 2015 750X unfortunately
It's probably due to the pervious NC is cable throttle, shame 👍👍👍
Don't use scotch locks
Steve what would you use in place any other you could suggest

Why Don't Honda just do a NC GT with CC? wack on the luggage and a grand to 1500 and they would fly out.
