Oh my, one of them brings back some horrible memories...went in a gas saturated building with one on, while in we were all instructed to take it off and stand and wait for further instructions...I don't recall anyone not running out and vomiting all over. What an experience...one I hope never to repeat. Sounds like you had a similar experience...I'm hoping that part of training has been discontinued.

Good descriptive video. I used to see these quite often when I lived close to an RAF base in NE Scotland - every time they had an alert you would see the RAF Regiment guys wearing these with their NBC suits as they set up their Rapier air defenses in the fields around their base. Only gas mask that I ever tried on was a Israeli M15 one. I remember that it had a little tube that allowed you to drink water while wearing it. The original 58 pattern 'wedge' gas bags for the S6 are quite collectable, if you ever find one.

Yes the RAF lads had the same training I remember vividly.. it was a period of time where the fear was gas attacks !! ..we had a load of laughs in those masks though !! lol.. ..the NBC kit was rehearsed ..prizes were awarded for the quickest suited !! lol.. I don't remember now.. probably a pint of ale by the sergeant !! lol ..Cheers my dear friend !!
I have actually (for once in my miserable existence ! lol) come out on top.. as the iPhone SE I have been given is a restoration and has a new battery !! lol.. I have never seen 100% battery in my iPhone settings before !! lol Have an awesome weekend X

The gas mask is really scary, imagine if suddenly there is white smoke when wearing the mask, it turns out the canister is also poisonous gas hahaha
