Dude..just drop them into a jar of lacquer thinner over night, tightly capped. The next morning, all the pant comes off with a soft rag.

Great results, lots of new life in a pile ofjunk. You could try SOLVOL AUTOSOL, (chrome polish) you dont even need a drill or polishing wheel to use it. Its FAST too.....Were these made of stainless steel or aluminium?
