His Cantonese in Rush Hour 2 was remarkably on point, right down to the intonation, which is often difficult for Westerners to grasp. I've lost count of the number of times I've seen American-born Chinese absolutely butcher Mandarin and Cantonese on Hollywood productions, much less Westerners.
l lived in HK for 10 plus years and studied Canto at CUHK and i agree. I”m a Nigerian American i speak 3 other languages and have studied others including Mandarin, Korean and Japanese. Canto was the hardest

2:50 here is an analogy to understand climate change: warm water in a coffee pot , look inside, when water gets warmer, small bubbles start rising in a good order.
Can a small change in temperature make a significant change in this system? Look closely as the water temperature reaches the boiling point.
Using this analogy, imagine what happens when global temperatures rise just a few degrees. A totally new climate condition that nobody can predict or adapt.
Personally i believe it's too late now...

In general air temperature ABOVE ICE IS 32 DEGREES OR LESS. In general, AIR TEMPERATURE ABOVE SLUSH IS 34 DEGREES OR HIGHER. Is this where we get "2 DEGREES RISE IN GLOBAL TEMPERATURES ?" Don Cheadle was the major financial backer for a non profit I worked at in the early 2000s. It was a great experience and had a real positive experience on my outlook and perspective on life.

The rivers are gone, but the water is still somewhere. Right now, for example it's carrying cars and bodies out of the hills of N. Carolina.

Don Cheadle was an arrogant jerk when I met him back in the 80s. He had a bit part in an episode of "Night Court" and there was a scene where he pulled a pistol on someone. After the episode was completed the audience was invited to meet the actors on the set. Don was standing all by himself behind near the seats where the audience (and I) sat so I walked over to compliment him on his performance. I told him "You did great! You sure scared me!" and he instantly replied in a very snotty tone "Why? Because I'm Black?". I was shocked by that. Instead of responding I decided to just walk away and go mingle with the actors and crew, all of whom were very nice. Don Cheadle never came over to hang out with them either so I couldn't take his insult personally. He was a prick to everyone there. I suspect he still remembers that interaction though because that was one of his very first real acting gigs, and I hope he's learned to regret it, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Greenhouse gases allow sunlight to go through the atmosphere and reach Earth's surface but don't allow it to exit back out, instead bouncing back again and again to Earth's surface until absorbed. This makes it warmer. The warmer it is the more sunlight is reflected back to the surface which makes it warmer and so even more sunlight is reflected back making it even warmer. Much of the greenhouse gases currently being put into the atmosphere by human activity actually is absorbed by Earth's oceans which are becoming more acidic as a result. But the oceans are quickly becoming saturated and will soon be unable to absorb any more of the greenhouse gases which will result in a speeding up of the process in the atmosphere. The planet Venus could have been Earth like, but an uncontrolled greenhouse effect left Earth's twin the most Hellish place in the Solar System. At least for now.

I have had a recurring dream: I was walking down the street, in London, probably Wardour Street, and I saw Don Cheadle going about his day, and I overcame my social awkwardness, I approached him and said 'Hey! You're Don Cheadle!' and he would say 'Yep! Ya got me' and then I'd say 'I really liked you in The Guard as the FBI bloke trying to do something or other and in all that other stuff I saw you in' and he would say 'Oh thanks , man, glad you enjoyed the performances' and there would be an awkward little silence, and then I'd say 'Fancy a pint?' and Don Cheadle would pause a little and umm and errr and look at his watch and check the weather and blow out his cheeks and say 'Yeah, sure! Why not!' and so then I'd be in the boozer with Don Cheadle hving a pint and having a laugh and then when I say 'shall we have another one' he says yes and he doesn't even look at his watch. What a pal.
