I loved everything you said about the game, except the components. I was already thinking of preordering because I really enjoy Feld games. I will definitely make that purchase now.
My favorite Feld game is Castles of Burgundy for sure, it may be the game I have the most plays of. I also like Trajan and Bora Bora too. I really want to try all his others as well but there are too many good games to check out. Too many games, too little time!
Great review! If I LOVE Castles of Burgundy and Notre Dame, but only LIKE Bruges (too random) and Trajan (too disjointed)... do you think I should try Carpe Diem?
Thank you so much! Castles is my favorite Feld game. Only played Notre Dame once (didn't get a good feel for it). I don't like Bruges (oh yeah, the randomness), but I like Trajan quite a bit. If I should compare this to something (without it being almost anything like it) it must be Castles of Burgundy. If you think what I said in the review sounded good, I most definitively think you'll love this!
I very much enjoy Stefan Feld designs. A lot of clever things in this game. I just wish it were published by another company. Maybe Alea/Ravensburger can bring in Ian O’Toole next time to give Feld his proper treatment.
Hehe, I understand what you mean, but I actually think this one looks great. It's very dependent on what kind of art style you like, and I like most different art styles that are used in games :) I really like Ian's work, so I wouldn't say no to a Feld with him as the artist ;)
Anyone else notice how well This War of Mine and Brass line up together? 🤔
Never noticed before you're comment. That's kind of cool!

If you like a lot of his games, I think you'll love this! What is your favorite Feld?

How is this at 2 player? Your review has me seriously considering it but I can only play with my partner these days.
Like most Feld games, it's amazing at 2 players! The point cards are a bit tighter with more players, but I wouldn't be sad to play it only 2p!
@@BoardGamingRamblings Lovely! Thank you so much.
