As soon as this started I was like “Kate as Elsa?” Lesbian confirmed.
Kate McKinnon has been out of the closet since before she was on this show. Of the five SNL cast members (past and present) who are on the LGBTQ+ spectrum, Terry Sweeney, Kate McKinnon, John Milhiser, and Bowen Yang are out (Danitra Vance's -- the only black lesbian this show has had so far -- sexuality wasn't known until she died in 1994, when it was discovered she was survived by her girlfriend).
Plus, Kate played Elsa before on that weird sketch where Leslie Jones plays a woman haunted by the reflection of R. Kelly in a Disneyland magic mirror attraction. It was on the Chadwick Boseman episode from season 43. Look it up.

The Danish did own the Virgin Islands at the time (as well as Norway) and had slavery so it would technically be possible as there were black people in the Danish Empire
Ah yes, because the movie about a magic forest that includes a talking snowman is ridiculous for having a black person lol, anyway Norway was apart of the transatlantic slave trade until around 1803, so that means its entirely possible for him to be there...I could also say that their country is fake so maybe it allows black generals? By the way this is for the comment about "um how" I also slightly questioned him being there but it makes more sense with a bit of information. I don't intend to sound malicious I just don't think "pandering" is necessarily a bad thing if it doesn't directly affect plot, if they were being " plausible'' then there would be multiple epidemics happening or something, i think influenza and cholera were big around then, I get your point though.

@@Brian-jv8iy exactly! Even today, you don't see a lot of black people on Norway. Scandinavian countries have very homogenous people - and immigrants, mainly from middle East. You don't really see deep dark skin that often over here (it's slowly changing though as more Somalians are moving north). It's nothing to do with racism or politics. People with a lot of melanin were just not a part of the genetic pool and nowadays most African immigrants settle in other countries, more to the south. For that reason these diversity moves annoy me a bit :/ it just doesn't make sense.

Great comment on the way tv and film is changing history. In the UK the bbc is incapable of making a period frame now without including black characters even though it may be set in 18th and 19th century Britain. Yes there were bame people here then but their numbers were small. It wasn’t until after WW2 that things really changed (for the better).

If there was a part that was confusing, I can explain why it wasn’t. Everything that I didn’t know while watching movie, I didn’t know because they didn’t want me to know it yet. @@twist58 Maybe. My grad school girlfriend was big into Disney (especially "Snow White" and "Beauty and the Beast") so I tried to cultivate an interest in it. It made Christmas and birthday shopping easy because all I had to do was find some Disney crap. I think we had a local Disney or Hallmark store that sold it. My best find was a BATB music box in 1991. I just looked it up, and the value has apparently gone way up.

He seemed pretty happy before falling in love with Anna, and would probably nope right out of there if she didn't treat him right. I very much agree! there are so, so, SO many movies with a plot where a woman can only find _true_ happiness if she's in a relationship with a guy or even better married. where are all the movies where women focus on their passions, their careers or other projects and be perfectly happy with it? humans are a diverse species, not everyone needs a partner to be happy so please do show this in movies more.
@CrystalCritter don't get me wrong testicles are pretty weak and fragile but with adrenaline running a shot to testicles may not do much at the moment ( after it wears off you'll feel it though). The true weakest and fragile part of the human body is the eyes, pretty much no matter what is flowing though the body you will feel it and it will hurt. So remember a shot to the nuts is good and a finger\fingernail in the eye even better
@@benzaiten933 To be fair, male heroes usually do acts of heroism to get themselves into relationship. So female heroin being single isn't "win". Though Anna, main protagonist of Frozen, ended up in relationship with Kristoff.

You’re right, because as someone that’s been a big Frozen fan since the beginning and has done A LOT of research y can guarantee that ❄️Elsa is NOT a lesbian, she never was and 99% sure she never will be. Those were just SJW joking on Twitter, and then some questionable web-sites kept the snowball growing until a lot of people were “sure” she was when it never was true.

Just a thought, but would it be cool if Elsa represented an asexual character? Obviously the popular train of thought was to make her gay, but I liked the fact that Elsa could possibly relate in this aspect. Its always refreshing to see a main Disney princess or queen be happy with oneself, instead of seeing a relationship or love interest added into the story. Big reason why I liked the movie "Brave."

This is especially doable because Disney will never make Elsa gay. They can't, because then they can't distribute the movie in China and will lose millions of dollars. Disney is a for-profit company so they have to pander to homophobes too.
If Elsa is asexual, there is no risk because all they have to do is keep her single and leave it up for interpretation.
I don't like the idea of Elsa's character in any form of relationship anyway.
I've heard some people think that she is an asexual homoromantic which basically means she doesn't experience sexual attraction (asexual) but only has romantic feelings for women. I like this idea a lot
