    Yes the test panning makes total sence. Why shovel all day where there were 30 colour when 16 meteres away there may be 100 colours. You're doing an awsome job. First time have seen you eat. My faverite snack when on an adventure is the sardines in mustard or a can of beans with pork.

    Would u run the same feed rate if u had your old beach box if u were up in nome beach? Is that Nsr or red deer material comparable to Nome beach sand? Im thinking its close givin the gold size of both locations, reason im asking is im going to make a wooden beach box.

      Feed rate in sand would be slower. I have not been to Nome, but one spot I took the old beach box was just like beach sand. Almost all of each shovel would pass through the screen, and so the sluice had to deal with an entire shovel of material rather than having half of it removed by the grizzly.

    So if I make a highbanker just like yours , do I need to purchase a Seadoo.

      The Seadoo is optional, but will increase the effectiveness of your high banker by 9000.

    A little tip for gridding out a paystreak, test every 2 feet from waters edge all the way to the bank, and even test the grasses, my best single shovel pan on the red deer was 400+ colors and that was from grasses, if you want more info Utmost message me!

      Wow, 400 colors is a great pan! I sure can't wait to get back out for more!

    I wonder if you could install polypropylene sheets to the bottom of ski leaving area around pump in-changed. They use on those mini jet boats to protect hull. I believe those sheets were 3/8 thick.

      I'm not 100% sure yet what the plan is, but I'd like to try something like that... super sketchy out there with the old fiberglass hull!

    Have you ever thought of making a power jet for your seadoo and dredge with it?

    • @UtmostOutdoors
      @UtmostOutdoors  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think a seadoo jet pump would not work very well. The fuel use would be prohibitive, and even then a single stage axial flow pump (propeller in a tube) produces relatively low pressure and high volume. A dredge eduction venturi is designed for the relatively higher pressure of a radial flow centrifugal pump. A seadoo does have a lot of towing power and could tow a descent amount of gear in areas you're allowed to use it.

      I have failed you my friend, and many others. I have since been taught TH-cam:101 to always include a clean up. It's next in the playlist: th-cam.com/video/b5nlZoXzsJA/w-d-xo.html
