Every day is a battle from within, little by little if you pray and put all your trust in God, I believe we can resist the temptation that the flesh brings and rise up a tiny bit at a time to be the person God wants us to be. Thank you for shining a light in the darkness. Amen
When I feel the lust/struggle, I preach out loud to myself the gospel and the promise of God the goodness of God , the power that we are complete and have everything in Christ Jesus that we need to be complete. Gettin my mind on things focused above. Thank you Christ Jesus ❤❤❤
The Dead to Sin doctrine has been the #1 thing to help me overcome sin. It's great for guys like me that don't focus for more than 5 seconds and have a weak will, and a forgetful hearer. Instead of having to keep tremendous focusing on praying and reading and everything I can do....I just claim my power over sin was already done through Jesus 2000 years ago.
YAY!! So joyful to see you and Deb relaxing and riding in that amazing boat! There is no end to your talents, you remind me of my husband, nothing he can’t fix or build. Looking forward to hearing the organ. Our 52 anniversary is October 3. We have been truly blessed by God. At 73 and 77 we are worn out but it’s a good tired. 🙏🙌🏼
It's clear to see you sir are a man of God and great teacher!! You also are cool dude...! Love the boat and can't wait to see the pump organ.. God bless you brother in Christ..
As a Christian you still will struggle in the flesh till one day after going through the fire so many times then they have finally learned that they don't want to do that no more
That background on the wall "The Book of Revelation" , where did you get that?! Looks incredible! Appreciate you sharing your knowledge and understanding of God's word, especially on these issues that affects all of us. The lusts of the flesh, all manner of sexual sin, be in fornicating, watching porn, masturbation, and so on, these are all things the flesh desires. I know it is a very hard fight for most of us, as sexual desires of every kind is ingrained in us. I pray for all that struggle with sexual sin, that you will find the strength through the Spirit to overcome and though we will stumble and fall at times, I pray you will find it happening less and less over time.
It’s a reproduction of a canvas Mike painted several years ago and he was teaching through it. We have the large banner and a poster sizereplica at nogreaterjoy.org
Yep just getting over the cold and at times fell conviction from my fleshly ideal or thought at times it is like you say Start sing nothing but the blood of Jesus, the flesh is a burden the spirit has work of joy down in my soul the message is reviling thanks for letting me conversate with you brother.
Watching you in the beginning of the video brought back childhood memories of when my family lived in Omaha, NE, and my dad built a boat in our basement. We had a large oil furnace down there, with vents throughout the first floor of the house. We three kids used to sit next to the one in the dining room and listen to Dad cuss and fuss while working on that fourteen foot boat! We weren't Christians, so we were accustomed to hearing our dad swear whenever he thought we couldn't hear him (Mom got on him about cussing in front of us). Mom couldn't figure out why the three of us were so entertained by the vent until she realized that we could hear daddy when he raised his voice. Dad knew he wasn't going to stop swearing while working on his boat, so we were ordered to stay away from the vents! And, the entire neighborhood likely heard his swearing when he realized that he measured the railing of the stairs and the basement door incorrectly! But we got a new railing, new door frame, and the boat didn't leak!
Thank you for your ministry. I need prayers, I drink a beer couple x week for unbearable pain ,I take no pills after many injuries in need healing please pray.
Years ago, when in a Growth Group, I memorized a verse that helped me out so much. Funny thing, I was having trouble memorizing one small verse, just couldn't remember it and I realized I was doing just what the verse said not to do so I prayed that I would try very hard to always remember NOT to do what the verse said to NOT do and as soon as I said Amen, BAM, I've never forgot that verse which is Philippian's 2:3. Crazy that I could remember one of the longest verses in the New Testament but couldn't memorize one of the shortest. 1 Cor 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. KJV Every time I have been tempted I site this verse and God saves me and believe me Brothers and Sisters in Christ, the Devil is after me, all the time!
God Bless you bro. Loving my revelation guide book. Reading through it with my Son alex is a joyful thing. Love your boat mate. you are such a handy man !!
Hello Brother Pearl, I been watching your videos / reading your and your wife's books for a good number of years now (they have all be of great help to me!) , and have something like 3 pump organs here. Two are in a shed, for repair at some point, the other is about 100 years old, in perfect shape, right here in the living room... I'm looking forward to hearing you play yours!
I have always had a problem with Romans chapter 7. After chapter 6, Paul has made it clear that he is crucified with Christ and the body has no power over him. Romans chapter 7 is quite to the contrary, and I understand that it sounds as if he is, speaking prior to being born again because he states that he was sold under sin and when looking those words up, it’s clear in scripture it’s prior to being born again and bought by the blood of Jesus. My question is how do I show that Paul is speaking of his past, when he is speaking, present tense? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
As you might already know, the book of Romans isn’t chronological he goes back-and-forth quite a bit contrasting being saved versus not being saved. It’s clear and evident from the text, But Michael pearl teaches through the entire book of Romans and I think his videos are right here on TH-cam.
Hey Mike, your teaching on Romans states that the flesh is dead. This video sounds like you have a different viewpoint now and I wonder if you could explain what changed your mind.
Look up “lust” in the KJV and you will see brother Pearl is spot on. It’s a broad term for strong desire and can be good when kept within the confines of Gods word, like lusting after you own wife.
The answer is simple. Paul himself says tbat he was the apostle to the Gentiles (Anyone that isn't a Jew). Also because He had revelation from Jesus himself meaning to disregard Paul is to disregard Jesus. Last but not least is that Paul preaches the completed Gospel of "how that Christ died" not just who he was. I could go further but Paul was the one appointed to Gentiles after the Jews rejected God and God will return to deal with the Jews in the end times after the rapture of the Church. (Tribulations)
Pastor Pearl no kidding you may feel your age but these days you sure don't look your age. I began this video and told myself that I need to get me some of the vitamins you must be taking.
Just maybe Apostle Paul might just be talking about the death of the flesh when we get new bodies? At that point we will no longer will to sin? What you're saying sounds like conditional salvation to me which then makes it of more than belief. I'm pretty sure the gospel that's listed in Corinthians says that you are to believe that he shed his blood for your sins and that he rose from the dead and your saved because man believeth unto righteousness from his heart. It sounds to me what you're preaching is that you are not saved unless you become sinless by "overcoming" the will of the flesh. That means you are doing something for salvation by "overcoming" as if Jesus did not "Overcome" sin for you. How is it then that you can rest in Christ if you arent saved upon belief? Is not your soul cleansed? Your body wills to sin until it is cleansed by Jesus at the rapture. Paul is saying. The body wills to sin against the Holy Spirit but by the grace of God and payment of blood our sins are covered and by the renewing of our minds through knowledge of the Gospel we believe unto righteousness. That's why baptisms of water don't save because they just cleansed the skin whereas the blood of Christ covers your sins and then upon belief in Jesus blood propitiation (Payment of sins of the world) baptism of the Holy Spirit and the in-dwelling and sealing of the Holy Spirit within you is proof of your inheritance. Does that mean you should live after the Flesh and not the Spirit? Just as Paul says God forbid! That's a heavy no that means That just because you can doesn't mean you should! When you do then you lose rewards at the Judgement seat of Christ. Technically speaking you can be saved and still live in the flesh because that's what happens to the man who sleeps with his father's wife. But even though he does this his body is offered up to Satan so the death of the body can occur and the the spirit is still saved. Now if I'm incorrect here on your understanding and explanation please enlighten me as I am human and I am prone to make mistakes. The only thing I know for sure is that salvation is by grace through faith in his blood because nothing we do can erase the things we've done. And I'm sorry for anyone else who doesn't understand this but that's why no other religion in this world can save you it's because none of them take away the things you've already done. Only Jesus Blood saves. May The Lord be with you all. (No ill intent in this commentary btw)
I love your ministry and have learned a great amount from you. Your reward will be great; may God get all the glory and praise. However, your teaching on Hebrews 6:4-6 and Romans 7 is completely wrong. I know not to mess with another believer's ministry, except when they are in error; and you my brother, are in error. Paul said it very well in Romans 7:1 who he was speaking to, and it was not the believer. In Corinthians, Paul says that he becomes all things, to all men, that he might win some over. In that, he says he becomes a Jew, to win a Jew. What did he mean to become a Jew? He did that exact thing in Romans 7. From 7:7-25 (excepth for the parenthetical statement he made in verse 24 because he could not contain himself), Paul was speaking of his fromer life as a Jew! apart from Christ. Why would Paul say to follow his example if he supposedly had so much trouble? I was perfectly fine following the example of Jesus Christ. Paul said to follow his example because he reached the level of perfectness spiritually. His flesh was 100% cruicified with Christ and no longer had any trouble at all. He eplains in Philippians 3 (which many mess this chapter up as well) that he is perfect, and even says that there are others of whom we can follow their example. I say all of this out of love and would dearly like to sit down to explain extensively, using only scripture, to correct this teaching. May God richly bless you, your family, and your ministry.
WHAT ??? Lust of the Spirit??? You mean the lust of the hearts of men right ??? The Spirit of the Lord our God is Pure and so is his Law but yet truly no man by his works will ever be able to keep it. Thank you Jesus for being my Christ their Christ the CHRIST as God with us and to return as the Son of Man. Selah 💔✝️❤️🩹👍💖 SHALOM ✌️Amen AMEN 🥲

“I dream of fishing”. Is that not an idol?
If it takes away time from more important things then yes its an idol. Otherwise its ok to dream and desire good things.
Sorry NOPE incorrect definition of a Soul.
The soul is eternal. The definition you gave is a very temporary existence as your live. SO NOPE try again.
